The loss of personal documents is a very unpleasant event, but you should know that to re-issue the documents is not as difficult now as it was before.

In most cases, to obtain a duplicate of the lost document, you just need to visit the branch of NJSC SC "Government for Citizens" (PSC), fill out an application and, if necessary, pay the state duty.

The key document that is required in order to obtain the others is an identity card. If, among other documents, you have lost your ID, then it must be re-issued first.

What to do if you lose your education documents

To restore a secondary school certificate, you must submit an application to the principal of the school where the certificate was obtained, stating the reason for the loss of the document, or submit the application through the online service, and a duplicate of the document will need to be picked up at the CSC.

In order to restore duplicate documents on secondary and higher education, it is necessary to submit an application to the CSC or apply through the online service, and the duplicate document will have to be picked up at the CSC.

What to do if you lose your military registration certificate or military ID

Intentional damage or destruction of a military ID or certificate of registration, as well as their loss due to the fault of the owner, entail a warning or fine in the amount of 5 MCI.

In case of loss (damage) of a certificate of registration or a military ticket, you can apply for a duplicate through the e-government web portal www.gov.kz or through the non-profit joint stock company "State Corporation "Government for Citizens" by providing the following documents:

  • an identity card or its electronic document from the digital documents service (for identification),
  • a receipt for payment of a fine (if there is an offense), or a certificate from an authorized state body, confirming the fact of loss or damage due to circumstances beyond the control of the service recipient;
  • 2 photos 3x4 cm.

A duplicate of the certificate of registration is issued within 5 working days.

A duplicate military ID in the cities of republican and regional significance, the capital is issued within 7 working days; in the districts 5 working days.

What to do if you lose your driver's license

A driving license is issued by Ministry of Internal Affairs of the RoK via specialized branches of “Government for Citizens” Public Corporation (Specialized CSC).

National duty for issuance of driving license is 1.25 MCI.

Execution term: 2 hours (exclusive of time spent for the exams).

 

In case of loss of your driver's license you should apply to the Special CSC with the following documents:

  • ID card;
  • a medical certificate and a copy of it on form 083/u, a certificate from the psychiatric and drug dispensary (provided only if the driving license has expired);
  • a receipt of payment of the state fee (the cost is 1.25 MCI). In order not to queue at the cash desk, you can pay the state fee for obtaining a driver's license through the online service.

The obtained driver's licenses, instead of which the drivers have been given other driving licenses, lose their legal force from the moment of issue of new driving licenses and are subject to obligatory delivery to the REU for their subsequent destruction

What to do if you lose your passport

The passport is issued by the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan through the branches of the “Government for Citizens” Public Corporation (CSC).

The cost of the state duty for issuance of the certificate is 8 MCI

The registration period is 15 working days.

for Astana, Almaty, Shymkent and Aktobe:

  • Up to 1 working day - 4,983 tenge;
  • Up to 3 working days - 2,752 tenge.

For other regional centers:

  • Up to 3 working days - 4,983 tenge;
  • Up to 5 working days - 2,752 tenge.

For regional cities:

  • Up to 7 working days - 1,116 tenge.

 

In case of passport loss you can apply to any branch of “Government for Citizens” Public Corporation and submit the following documents:

  1. Written application to restore the document, where you should indicate circumstances of loss;
  2. Notification coupon from the prosecuting authority that received the report of the theft or stealing of the passport (in case of documents were stolen);
  3. Receipt on the payment of national duty (8 MCI) or document certifying exemption from the payment of national duty;
  4. National ID (if passport was lost).

If the passport was lost outside Kazakhstan, citizens need to apply to consular offices of the RoK where they can obtain a certificate of return to the RoK, which can also be used to travel across the country to the place of residence.      

After arrival, a citizen needs to apply to an authorized agency without delay to restore passport.

What to do if you lose a technical passport of the property

In case of loss of the technical passport for real estate it is necessary to submit an application to the CSC at the location of the real estate object or to submit an application via online service, with a duplicate of the document will need to be picked up at the CSC at the location of the property.

The application must be accompanied by an identity document, a document confirming payment for the issuance of a duplicate of the technical passport.

The fee for the public service is determined in accordance with the prices of goods (works, services) produced and/or sold by the State Corporation "Government for Citizens" on the state technical inspection of buildings, structures and/or their components in the field of determining the value of tax objects approved by the Order of the Acting Minister for Investment and Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated 26 January 2016 № 87).

The process of restoring the duplicate of the technical passport for apartments, rooms in dormitories, individual houses, garages, country houses takes 1 working day, for real estate objects with total area up to 1000 square meters is issued on the 2nd working day, for objects with total area of more than 1000 square meters is issued on the 3rd working day.

What to do if you lose your identity card

The identity card is issued by the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan through the branches of the “Government for Citizens” Public Corporation.

The cost of the state duty for issuance of the certificate is 0.2 MCI

The registration period is 15 working days.

for Astana, Almaty, Shymkent and Aktobe:

  • Up to 1 working day - 4,983 tenge;

What to do if you lose a number plate for a car

In the area of loss of a number you should contact the lost property office. Further, if your number plate was not found, you need to apply for a new number plate to the specialized departments of NJSC "State Corporation "Government for Citizens" with an application in any form for the loss of the state number.

In this case, there are two options, either to apply for a duplicate of GRNZ (manufacturing time of the duplicate is 5 working days for Astana and Almaty, for Shymkent and regions 15 working days), or to replace the technical passport (SPTS) and state numbers (GRNZ), with a finished result within 90 minutes, in accordance with the standard of public service, approved by the Minister of Internal Affairs of the RK № 341 of April 14, 2015.

When submitting an application for a duplicate of GRNZ, it is possible to submit a duplicate of one GRNZ, then the payment will be for one GRNZ, in the amount of 1.4 MCI, for two GRNZ 2.8 MCI.

In case of application for replacement of hydraulic fracturing, replacement of technical certificate and the sum of the state duty is 2.8 MCI for hydraulic fracturing, 1.25 MCI for SGRHS, 0.25 MCI state duty.

Necessary documents:

  • Declaration of loss;
  • ID card (for identification);
  • Certificate of vehicle registration (technical data sheet);
  • Documents confirming the right to exemption from tax - for persons who are not taxpayers in accordance with the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

What to do if you lose your title deeds to a property

In case of loss or damage of the original document of title to the immovable property, on the basis of which the registration was made, its restoration shall be carried out by issuing a copy of such document, which is kept in the registration file in the archive of the justice authority at the location of the immovable property.

To do this you need to submit an application to the CSC at the location of the property or through the online service.

The application must be accompanied by an ID card and a receipt of payment of the state duty for the issuance of a duplicate or a receipt of payment.

What to do if you lose a vehicle registration certificate (VRC)

In case of loss of VRC it is necessary to visit to Special PSC and to bring the following:

  • ID card;
