How to check your credit history?
Credit history is an official document containing information about all loans and credits issued to an individual or a legal entity, as well as the timeliness of their repayment.
Formation of a credit history starts from the moment the first loan is issued. It is necessary to assess payment discipline when banks, microfinance organizations and other financial institutions study new loan applications. Positive credit history increases the chances of raising a loan in the future, allows to count on more favorable lending terms and conditions.
Every citizen of Kazakhstan has the right to receive their personal credit report once a calendar year with no charge. A repeated request during the same year requires a fee.
You can get the report in the following ways:
- through a website or mobile application of First Credit Bureau;
- through eGov.kz portal;
- in branches of Public Service Centers, Kazpost and an office of First Credit Bureau;
- through State Credit Bureau.
If you notice inaccurate data in your credit report, such as an entry about a delayed payment of an already repaid loan or a fully repaid loan, be sure to contact the relevant bank or microfinance organization. Support your claims with relevant documents.
You can also challenge inaccurate information for free through Fingramota.kz website: go to the Products and Services section, then to Disputing Information in a Credit History, fill out a special form, indicating your IIN and phone number. The project is being implemented by the Agency for Regulation and Development of the Financial Market together with the First Credit Bureau.
To improve financial security and promptly respond to possible fraudulent activities, it is recommended to connect the credit history monitoring service – Credit History Monitoring. It allows you to receive notifications about any changes in your credit history – occurrence of new loans, delinquencies, changes in debt and other events. You can connect the service through the eGov.kz portal, website or mobile application of First Credit Bureau.
