The Ministry is a government body of the Republic of Kazakhstan responsible for leadership and cross-sectoral coordination in the fields of aerospace and electronic industries, scientific and technological development of the country, geodesy, cartography, and spatial data, as well as ensuring information security in the areas of informatization, "e-government", personal data and their protection, digital assets, project management, and also in the field of communications, development of state policy in the provision of public services, and data management.
