The Agency for Regulation and Development of the Financial Market of the Republic of Kazakhstan establishes regulatory approaches and supervisory methods for the financial market in line with the state policy for the development of the national financial system.
In carrying out its mandate, the Agency takes into account international standards and best practices developed by global standard‑setting bodies, including the Basel Committee on Banking Supervision (BCBS), the International Association of Insurance Supervisors (IAIS), the International Organisation of Securities Commissions (IOSCO), the International Organisation of Pension Supervisors (IOPS), the Islamic Financial Services Board (IFSB), and relevant European Union regulatory frameworks.
The Agency promotes the sustainable development of the financial market and financial products, ensures equal conditions for financial institutions based on fair competition, and takes measures to prevent market abuse.
