In order to preserve animal populations and ensure favorable conditions for their reproduction, hunting terms and a limit on the shooting of each individual animal species have been set.

To obtain a hunter's license, it is necessary to undergo training in the hunting minimum, in accordance with the Rules for conducting an exam on the hunting minimum by the Republican Association of Public Associations of Hunters and Hunting Entities approved by the order of the Minister of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated January 30, 2015 No. 18-03 / 57.
We note that an individual is given the opportunity to choose training in the hunting minimum both online through the information system tabigat-union.kz and offline by attending lectures in classrooms.
The training period is from 3 (three) working days from the moment of authorization of the student in the information system of the association in the online form, or offline from the moment of receipt of the application by the branch or representative office of the association. The hunting minimum exam is conducted in the form of testing in electronic or paper format from Monday to Friday inclusive from 10:00 to 18:00 with a lunch break from 13:00 to 14:00, except for weekends and holidays, in accordance with the labor legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan and Article 5 of the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan "On Holidays in the Republic of Kazakhstan".
Testing is conducted for compliance with the approved hunting minimum and consists of 25 (twenty-five) test questions.
The duration of the test is 1 (one) hour, to receive the corresponding certificate, you must answer 20 (twenty) questions correctly.
In case of passing the test online through the information system tabigat-union.kz, the certificate is automatically sent to the student in real time.
In case of passing the test offline, the certificate is issued within 1 (one) hour. After receiving the certificate, an individual submits an application for a hunter's license through the elicense.kz web portal.
On the elicense.kz web portal, an individual must select the "Environmental Protection" tab, then the "Issuance of a Hunter's License" tab and continue filling out the application form in the appropriate columns.
Please note that in the application form, in the "Hunter's Experience" column, it is necessary to indicate the year from which the hunter's experience is calculated.
The term for obtaining a hunter's license is 2 (two) business days.
A hunter's license is issued in electronic form and for a fee, the state fee is 2 MCI.

The right to hunt for foreigners in the territory of Kazakhstan arises on the basis of a contract for the organization of hunting with the subject of the hunting economy and obtaining a permit for the use of wildlife, as well as the permission of the internal affairs bodies to import into the territory of Kazakhstan and export from Kazakhstan firearms and ammunition for hunting.

The hunter must have a personal weapon, since it is forbidden to use someone else's. Hunting civilian weapons are divided into two types: smoothbore and rifled.
Smoothbore long-barreled weapons with the right to store and carry have the right to acquire citizens of the Republic of Kazakhstan who have reached the age of twenty-one and have a hunter's certificate.
Hunting firearms with a rifled barrel have the right to acquire citizens of the Republic of Kazakhstan who have owned hunting firearms smoothbore long-barreled weapons for at least three years, who have been granted the right to hunt in accordance with the established procedure.
You can get a permit to purchase weapons within 15 working days for a fee through an online service, a permit is issued for a period of 3 months, during which you need to purchase a weapon and register it with the Department of Internal Affairs within seven days (submit an electronic application for storing and carrying weapons).

To obtain a permit to purchase weapons, you must undergo a medical examination and mandatory training in specialized centers for the safe handling of weapons.
