Akimat of Altai district

Altai district covers an area of 1,056,096 ha, which is 3.7% of the area of the region. On the territory of the Altai district there are two cities: Altai and Serebryansk; 4 villages: Coastal, Zubovsk, Novaya Bukhtarma; 9 rural districts: Maleevsky, Severny, Sredigorny, Chapaevsky, Paryginsky, Nikolsky, solovyevsky, polyanskoe, Turgusunsky. The district center, the city of Altai, is located 175 kilometers from the regional center – the city of Ust-Kamenogorsk.

SAFETY ON THE ICE

Dear residents of the Altai city and district, a tuberculosis prevention month is being held from February 24 to March 24. March 24 is World Tuberculosis Day. The epidemiological situation of tuberculosis in our district is not favorable, the incidence in the district is higher than in the region and the republic. Cases of tuberculosis, including childhood and adolescent cases, are registered in our district every year. Anyone can get sick with this disease, regardless of age, gender and social status. If earlier it was believed that people who abuse alcohol, drugs, and homeless people were ill with this disease, then nowadays this disease affects quite prosperous, wealthy segments of the population. Therefore, everyone can get tuberculosis. The most important thing is to detect the disease in time, at an early stage. The earlier the disease is detected and treatment is initiated, the easier the therapy will be tolerated and the residual changes will be minimal. Tuberculosis is an infectious disease caused by Mycobacterium tuberculosis and transmitted by air during conversation, coughing and sneezing from a sick person to a healthy one with a predominant localization in the lung tissue. Tuberculosis is transmitted through the air like common influenza viruses. Therefore, no one is protected from infection with tuberculosis bacteria, since the air is the same for all people. Tuberculosis is so insidious and dangerous that it is almost impossible to determine exactly when and which of the infected people will develop the disease. But at the same time, it has been established that the triggering factor of the disease is a weakening of the body's immunity. This condition occurs with HIV infection, severe concomitant diseases (such as diabetes mellitus, gastric ulcer, chronic renal failure, silicosis). An unfavorable background may be: poor nutrition, hard grueling work, hypothermia, stressful situations, bad habits. In the early period of tuberculosis, fatigue, malaise, sweating may appear. They are usually associated with overwork at work, or with a "cold". With the progression of the disease, the following permanent or periodic signs appear: weakness, fever, cough, chest pain, loss of appetite, decreased performance. People do not pay attention to these symptoms, and do not seek medical help, or self-medicate. Subsequently, all the described signs increase, the cough becomes constant, accompanied by the release of mucosa first, and then purulent sputum, hemoptysis may join. Cough is the most characteristic symptom of tuberculosis. And if the cough lasts for more than 2 weeks, then you should definitely contact a medical institution of the PHC network and undergo an examination. Tuberculosis screening is free of charge. What is the diagnosis of tuberculosis? The first is lung fluorography – this examination is performed annually for adults and adolescents from the age of 15. The second is a molecular genetic examination of sputum for Mycobacterium tuberculosis. The third is to conduct a Mantoux test and Diaskintest for children (since lung fluorography is not performed for children). The simplest thing that every adult can do is to undergo fluorography annually, do not self–medicate with the disease, but go to a doctor and undergo additional examination, as well as examine children from risk groups for tuberculosis. In the last 2 years, active work has been carried out to identify tuberculosis infection – this is a condition in which Mycobacterium tuberculosis is present in the human body, causing positive reactions to tuberculosis allergens, in the absence of clinical and radiological signs of local tuberculosis. The following groups of people are examined for tuberculosis infection: 1) adults and children infected with HIV; 2) persons in contact with tuberculosis patients; 3) persons belonging to the high-risk group for tuberculosis: those starting therapy with tumor necrosis factor inhibitors-a, receiving immunosuppressive therapy, on dialysis, preparing for transplantation, patients with silicosis; 4) children registered at the dispensary for diabetes mellitus, nonspecific diseases of the bronchopulmonary system, eating disorders, HIV-infections, people with disabilities. To detect tuberculosis infection, the following are used: Mantoux tuberculin test, diaskintest, as well as a quantoferon test. If a tuberculosis infection is detected in patients, they undergo preventive treatment. It is better to prevent the disease than to subsequently receive a full course of tuberculosis treatment, which lasts from 6 to 20 months of treatment. I urge you to get tested for tuberculosis every year, as no one is immune from this disease. But most importantly, if you do not feel very well and you have complaints suspicious of tuberculosis, then do not self-medicate, contact the clinic. Since early detection of tuberculosis is one of the most important tasks. The success of treatment depends entirely on how early the tuberculosis process is detected. The earlier the diagnosis is made, the more successful the treatment is in most cases. Galaktionova T.V.

Your achievements would not have been possible without hard work, talent, energy and professionalism, which deserve great respect, - said Zh.Askarova.
