Diplomatic relations between the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Republic of Latvia were established on 10 December 1992.
The Embassy of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the Republic of Latvia was opened in Riga in July 2019.
Since October 23, 2023, H.E. Mr. Dauren Karipov has been Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the Republic of Latvia.
The primary purpose of the Embassy is the development and strengthening of Kazakh-Latvian cooperation across the entire spectrum of bilateral interaction: politics, economics, culture, science, education, tourism and etc.
One of the main priorities in the work of the Embassy is protection of the legal rights and interests of Kazakhstan citizens in the territory of Latvia.
