Coordinates issues related to the creation and development of state electronic information resources and systems of state bodies, improving the assessment of efficiency in the use of information technologies, monitoring the use of interdepartmental information systems, including electronic document management.

Solves organizational issues of implementing digital technologies in the main sectors of the economy, the development of system components of the "Smart-City" project.

Organizes the work and effective interaction of the network of archival institutions of the region, directs their activities to develop and improve the formation, storage, recording and use of documents of the National archive Fund and other archival documents in the interests of the state and society.

Monitors the compliance of service providers with the standard and regulations in the provision of public services, monitoring and evaluating the quality and availability of public services, and compliance with the principles of information security.

Represents the Department in state bodies and other organizations in accordance with current legislation.
