North Kazakhstan Region’s sole representative at the Asian Para Games wins bronze medal

North Kazakhstan athlete Ivan Zalezniak has won a bronze medal at the 5th Asian Para Games, currently being held in Japan. Competing in para athletics in the shot put event, he recorded a throw of 12.71 metres to finish third.

Ivan Zalezniak was the only representative of North Kazakhstan Region at this prestigious international competition, proudly representing the region as part of Kazakhstan’s national team. Notably, this is the athlete’s third bronze medal at the Asian Para Games. He previously won medals in 2018 and 2023.

The Akim of the region congratulated Ivan Zalezniak and his coach, Dmitry Kleyev, on this outstanding sporting achievement.

“This medal is the result of hard work, determination, and perseverance. I wish him new sporting achievements, memorable victories, and continued success on the international stage,” the head of the region wrote on social media.
