For the Cleanliness Around

Almost 150 of the 400 containers are already in state institutions, courtyards and squares of the city. Practice has shown that up to 30 tons of plastic wastes are collected in a month.

“Sorted plastic waste is used as a secondary raw material,” – said Kadylzhan Satiev, The head of the Subsoil Management, Environment and Water Resources Department, during a meeting on ecology in the oblast Akimat. – “They are processed into shavings and, in the end result, granules and polyethylene bags are produced.”

The Akim of Pavlodar Oblast, presiding at the meeting, noted that it is necessary to store not only plastic, but also construction debris.
“During road construction, we are constantly looking for backup material, although we could use construction waste,” – said Bulat Bakauov. – “Today construction debris is exported anywhere, even in the floodplain. Let’s store construction debris separately, so that in the future, if necessary, it would be possible to apply it somewhere.”
