In accordance with Paragraph 1 of Article 10 of the Constitutional Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan “On the Commissioner for Human Rights in the Republic of Kazakhstan,” one of the key areas of the Commissioner’s activity is to promote legal education in the field of human rights, participate in the development of educational programs, and improve public awareness of the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan and major international instruments in this area.
To promote the activities of the Commissioner’s institution and carry out legal awareness work, a large-scale information campaign covering all regions of the country is being conducted. It includes television appearances, publications in print media, placement of materials on regional media websites, and active engagement on social media platforms. These measures contribute to increasing public awareness of the Commissioner’s activities and the importance of its role in protecting human rights.
In addition, efforts are being made to explain rights, obligations, and responsibilities within the framework of the President’s concepts “Adal Azamat,” “Law and Order,” and “Taza Kazakhstan.”
The prevention of gender-based violence, as well as the observance and protection of the rights of women and children, also remain among the key priorities of the Commissioner’s Institution.
