Prospects and advantages of implementing the principles of Good Laboratory Practice (GLP)

Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) covers organizational arrangements and regulates the conditions under which experimental studies are planned, performed, corrected, recorded, reported and archived.
The GLP rules are applied when conducting preclinical studies of the harmlessness of potential pharmacological, agrochemical, cosmetic products, food additives, as well as medical equipment that has direct contact with body tissues.
The introduction of rules based on generally accepted standard procedures allows obtaining high-quality, reasonably guaranteed data that is mutually recognized by other countries, which prevents duplication of research, facilitates the exchange of information, contributes to the protection of human health and the environment.
Standardization of organizational processes and conditions of laboratory research allows competent state authorities to recognize the results obtained in different countries.
The use of GLP standards in preclinical trials guarantees the safety of subsequent clinical trials, which ultimately contributes to ensuring product quality.
To date, by order of the Minister of Trade and Integration of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated June 17, 2021, the rules "On approval of the Rules for the Implementation of the Principles of good Laboratory Practice" have been adopted, which entered into force on July 01, 2021. These rules establish the procedure for implementing the principles of good laboratory practice and the requirements necessary for compliance with the principles of good laboratory practice of testing laboratories and centers operating or planning to conduct preclinical (laboratory) tests.
