In 2001, he was appointed akim of Akzharma rural district. In September 2002, he was appointed akim of the village of Terenozek and served with dignity in the development of the district center. In 2007-2011, he headed the Department of internal policy of the Syrdarya district, in 2011-2012-the Department of employment and social programs of the Syrdarya district. Since 2022, he has been coordinating the work of the Regional Public Council in the organizational and instructional Department of the Office of the Akim of Kyzylorda region. In any field, he does everything with great responsibility and is grateful to the public of the region and district. В частности, поэтапно обновляются учебные заведения региона. Это конкретные и системные шаги, направленные на получение качественного образования будущим поколением, — отметил Берик Абдигаппарович.

Akim of the district Berik Sarmenbayev got acquainted with the current state of protective dams along the Syrdarya River. The total length of the Syrdarya River in the district is 77 kilometers. To date, 107 cubic meters of water pass through the village of Terenozek with Daria, and 41 cubic meters of water are sent to the Karaozek canal. In order to prevent flooding, a material and technical fund has been created in the district, namely 5,000 bags, 500 pieces of reeds, 500 pash and 400 pieces of piles. Contracts have been signed with local entrepreneurs for additional fuel and lubricants, food and transport services. During the meeting, the head of the department T. Yerkebayev reported on the ongoing work in the field of civil protection, the daily activities and main tasks of the Department. The District Department of emergency situations performs operational and primary emergency rescue operations in case of fire incidents, earthquakes, man-made disasters and natural emergencies. Currently, the department employs 40 employees. The institution is equipped with 3 units of equipment and all necessary equipment, 2 units of spare cars and 1 inflatable boat. It should be noted that currently, fire departments have been opened in the villages of Amankeldy, Shchaeli, Chagan and Akzharma, which are constantly working to ensure the fire safety of settlements.
