Local chocolate has appeared on the shelves of Kyzylorda stores, which can compete with well-known brands.
The idea to produce chocolate bars for a young entrepreneur Darkhan Askhat came in 2020, when one of his relatives treated him to handmade chocolate. The young man was just in search of a business idea for his business, so he wondered why not start it with the production of chocolate? And I came up with the brand "Qyzylorda" for him.
As in many other areas, he started by studying the market. Chocolate does not have a so-called target audience, because the products are designed for the general consumer. We can safely say that everyone buys sweets with a certain frequency – someone 2-3 times a week, others once a month. The products are purchased as a gift, treats for children, for a festive table or just for tea. Darkhan Askhat registered as an individual entrepreneur and began to look for a suitable room. The technological process of making chocolate is simple, but it is necessary to study at least the basics of production. On the Internet, Darkhan found training workshops, consultations of specialists. His idea was supported by family and friends.
After the recipes were found, having received the necessary documents confirming the quality of the products, the workshop started production. The first batch of chocolate "Qyzylorda" was released at the end of February last year. Kyzylorda chocolate was sold out in a few days. Social networks helped to promote the product to the masses further.
According to Darkhan, their products are sold in more than twenty stores in the region.
— Within the framework of the state program "Business Roadmap 2025" we won a gratuitous grant, — says the entrepreneur. — In addition, we received a loan through the regional investment center "Kyzylorda". Now our company produces 300 kilograms of chocolate products per month. The shop produces two types of chocolate. We buy the necessary raw materials from Karaganda.
The entrepreneur also took into account the fact that competition in the chocolate business is very high. The market is oversaturated with products, but manufacturers regularly appear offering customers new types of chocolate. This means only one thing that the demand for products is huge, so even newcomers to the market have an excellent chance of success.
— There is a lot of chocolate now. It is different in taste, color, and composition," says Darkhat Askhat.
— Chocolate is produced by different companies. Each manufacturer has its own way of making chocolate, its own production technology. Each company tries to make such products so that they are not only attractive, but also have their own special shapes, fillings and taste qualities. Today we are happy with the project, because it is a success among customers, we see that they like the product. But we are not going to stop there. The plans are to develop production, expand the sales market, and increase staff. It is clear that this will require additional financial investments. Based on the experience of my business acquaintances, I was convinced that state programs to support business bring them fruits. We hope that in the future our products will become well-known and competitive not only in the domestic market.
