A state audit revealed violations in the calculation of salaries and bonuses at a company under the jurisdiction of the Industry Committee.

In 2025, thanks to a report from a concerned citizen, the Internal State Audit Department for the city of Almaty conducted an inspection of the RSE on the right of economic management "National Center for Integrated Processing of Mineral Raw Materials of the Republic of Kazakhstan", a state-owned enterprise under the jurisdiction of the Committee of Industry of the Ministry of Industry and Construction of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The audit focused on the validity of payroll and bonuses for individual employees. The results turned out to be more than alarming: gross financial violations in the amount of 14.2 million tenge related to wages for virtually unworked time in 2024 were revealed.

The total amount of the checked budget funds and assets amounted to 188.9 million tenge. In addition to violations in terms of remuneration, the auditors recorded a number of serious procedural deviations in the amount of 34.4 million tenge. Among them are the absence of employment contracts with three remote employees (3.7 million tenge), exceeding the permissible standard of working hours for three employees (12.7 million tenge), as well as unreasonable expenses for services for the preparation of tender documentation for the scientific and technical program (18 million tenge).

As a result of the inspection, an order was issued to eliminate the identified violations and consider bringing the guilty officials to justice. The execution is under special control, and the collected materials have been transferred to the authorized bodies of criminal prosecution.

Experts note that such inspections not only reveal weaknesses in governance, but also serve as a powerful reminder that transparency and compliance with the law are the cornerstone of public confidence in government institutions.
