The decision to suspend the activity of an individual entrepreneur does not mean that the entrepreneur is exempt from paying taxes and other payments for this period. What payments and in what amount must be paid by individual entrepreneurs who have suspended their activities in 2022?
According to Article 28 of the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan “On Compulsory Social Health Insurance”, IP pay VSMI in the amount of 5% of the object of calculation of contributions. The object of calculating contributions for individual entrepreneurs, including those who have suspended reporting or recognized as inactive, is the minimum wage (MW).
Since the size of the minimum wage in 2022 has changed, the amount of the VOSMS payable will also change. Thus, an individual entrepreneur who has suspended the submission of tax returns in 2022 pays for himself for each month the ESMI at a rate of 5% of the minimum wage (in 2022, the minimum wage is 60,000 tenge).
The amount of VOSMI payable will be: 60,000 * 5% = 3,000 tenge.
OPV and CO during the period of suspension of activities for IP are not paid.
Similarly, PIT, since there is no income, there is no object of taxation.
But at the same time, according to paragraph 7 of Article 213 of the Tax Code, taxes on property, land and transport must be paid regardless of the suspension of activities. The above taxes and tax reporting on these objects must also be submitted on time.
