The app allows a citizen with a positive result for COVID-19, by activating the notification function, to anonymously warn other users about contact with them within the last 14 days at a distance of less than two meters and for more than 15 minutes.
The storage of interaction records with other devices will also be encrypted. The app is available on IOS and Android.
According to Bagdat Musin, the service will allow timely notification of citizens about the possible risk of infection and significantly reduce the spread of infection.
"I urge the people of Kazakhstan to actively use the app, to show awareness and responsibility. In this way, we will be able to localize the foci as much as possible and prevent the spread of COVID-19. We understand our responsibility to the public and created the app in such a way that all personal data is encrypted as much as possible, this app ensures absolute anonymity of users," the Minister said.
"The application is aimed at anonymously tracking contacts with other devices that have the same program installed. You do not need to register to use it, as the app does not collect or send any personal data or location data. When a notification is activated, the program automatically and anonymously notifies other users. Thus, this application will help increase the alertness of citizens and notify them in a timely manner about contacts with infected people," added health Minister Alexey Tsoi.
Users who receive a notification can read the Ministry of health's recommendations for further actions in the app.

The task of the service is to measure the actual quality of the Internet throughout the country and identify areas with low connection speeds. Based on the data, it is planned to create a map of Internet availability and create a plan of measures to improve access to the network in each region.
"This service is a necessary measure. We understand that there are zones without Internet or with weak coverage in the country. There are quite a few such zones, and our main goal is to reduce the number of such locations as much as possible. The app will allow us to get the most objective data on network quality, Internet speeds and improve the current situation," comments Daryn Tuyakov, Vice Minister of the Ministry of digital development, innovation and aerospace industry.
Already bailanys.bar allows you to share your geo-location, run an Internet connection speed check, and see the measurement results. Residents of even the most remote corners of the country can use the product and monitor the quality of the Internet. The service is available both in the browser and via the Aitu mobile app, which can be downloaded from the PlayMarket and App Store. The developers of the application are specialists of the Kazakhstan digital company BTS Digital.
“Our main task is to identify the regions with the lowest Internet speeds. The more data collected, the more accurate the measures taken to correct the situation will be. We encourage all Kazakhstanis to participate in the study. This is the first attempt in the history of Kazakhstan to organize a systematic independent monitoring of Internet quality.
