Issuance of permits to use radio-frequency spectrum of the Republic of Kazakhstan
Consular services for foreign nationals

The Embassy of Kazakhstan in Washington, D.C., along with the Consulates General in New York and San Francisco, offers visa processing services for both U.S. citizens and foreign visitors. Starting from January 1, 2024, individuals aged 16 and above are required to complete fingerprint registration as a mandatory step when applying for a visa to visit Kazakhstan.

Consular fees for the citizens of the United States for B1, B3, B6, B7, B10, B11, B12, C8, C9, C12 category single and multiple entry visas will be 185 USD. For more comprehensive details about visas, please refer to the subsequent sections.

As of January 1, 2022, visa-free entry into Kazakhstan has been reinstated for foreign citizens from 57 countries, including the United States. U.S. citizens do not require a visa for stays in Kazakhstan lasting up to 30 calendar days on each entry.

However, U.S. citizens are not permitted to stay in Kazakhstan under the visa-free regime for more than 90 calendar days in total during any 180-calendar-day period from the date of crossing the Kazakhstan border.

 

ABOUT VISA FREE REGIME 

From January 1, 2022, the visa-free regime up to 30 days has been resumed for the citizens of 57 countries, including USA a visa is not required for citizens of USA whose stay in the Republic of Kazakhstan does not exceed 30 calendar days.

Citizens of 57 countries, including the United States, cannot stay in Kazakhstan on a visa-free regime for more than 90 calendar days during each period of 180 calendar days from the date of crossing the border of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

PCR TEST AND VACCINATION REQUIRMENT LIFTED 

From June 8, 2022, when entering Kazakhstan, citizens of Kazakhstan and foreign citizens are NO longer required to document proof of vaccination against COVID-19 or a certificate with a negative result of a COVID-19 test by PCR.

ATTENTION! A number of airlines, citing their restrictions, continue to require a PCR certificate with a negative COVID-19 test result or a vaccination certificate. We recommend that you check with your carrier for the latest requirements.

Citizens of the Commonwealth of Australia, the United States of America, the Republic of Austria, the Kingdom of Bahrain, the Kingdom of Belgium, the Republic of Bulgaria, the United Arab Emirates, the Holy See of Vatican City, the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, the Federal Republic of Germany, the Hellenic Republic, the Kingdom of Denmark, New Zealand, Japan, the State of Israel, Republic of Ireland, Republic of Iceland, Kingdom of Spain, Republic of Indonesia, Republic of Italy, Canada, State of Qatar, Republic of Cyprus, Republic of Colombia, Republic of Korea, State of Kuwait, Republic of Latvia, Republic of Lithuania, Principality of Liechtenstein, Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, Hungary, Malaysia, Republic of Malta, United States of Mexico, Principality of Monaco, Kingdom of the Netherlands, Kingdom of Norway, Sultanate of Oman, Republic of Poland, Portuguese Republic, Romania, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Republic of Singapore, Slovak Republic, Republic of Slovenia, Kingdom of Thailand, Turkish Republic Republic, the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, the Republic of the Philippines, the Republic of Finland, the French Republic, the Republic of Croatia, the Czech Republic, the Republic of Chile, the Swiss Confederation, the Kingdom of Sweden and the Republic of Estonia enter the Republic of Kazakhstan and leave the Republic of Kazakhstan without visas, if their period stay in the Republic of Kazakhstan does not exceed thirty calendar days from the moment of crossing the State Border of the Republic of Kazakhstan, in total ninety calendar days during each period of one hundred and eighty calendar days.
