Department of Passenger Transport and Highways of Mangystau region

The Department ensures the implementation of the state policy in the field of passenger transport and highways and highway activities.

The Department organizes regular intercity inter-regional, inter-district (intercity intra-regional) transportation of passengers and Luggage, holds competitions for the right to service them.

The main functions of the Department also include licensing in accordance with the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan on permits and notifications, issuance of certificates for the right to operate self-propelled small vessels.

The powers of the Department also includes managing the network of regional highways common areas, streets in settlements and organization of works on construction, reconstruction, repair and maintenance of public highways of regional value and streets in accordance with the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan on public procurement. This structural division together with communication operators determines the list of objects of social value for providing subscribers with free connections with compensation of the corresponding expenses to communication operators in the order established by the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
