The Boccia Paralympic sport has been developing in Karaganda for the third year. It is available to children and adults with the most severe forms of cerebral palsy and disorders of the musculoskeletal system. And now a special playground has been equipped for classes on the territory of the K. Nurzhanov athletics arena. Special athletes will be able to train here and prepare for competitions.

Akim of the region Ermaganbet Bulekpayev visited the new site and looked at the conditions created.

The new playing field has a special coating. The territory allows for simultaneous classes for two groups.

Today, 30 Karaganda residents are professionally addicted to the boccia game. Among them there are very young ones, and the most adult athlete is 34 years old.

- Boccia gives special children the opportunity to develop. We have achieved good results in three years. Recently, 5 child athletes were taken to competitions in Pavlodar. All won medals of different denominations. As a result, the team took the first place. Now we are preparing for the Kazakhstan Cup. By the way, for the first time an athlete from our region will represent the republic at international competitions in Greece, - said the head of the Boccia Federation, co-founder of the Foundation “Braveheart” Gauhar Akizhanova.
Nine-year-old Sasha Lyakh has been doing boccia since the opening of the section. The last sporting achievement was gold at the competitions in Pavlodar.

- Thanks to the boccia classes, my son's hands began to work well. Also, the game has a positive effect on thinking. We have already been to competitions in Astana three times, Sasha was the first everywhere. It's good that a new platform has appeared. It's much better for children to play outdoors than indoors," says Sasha's mother Tatiana Lyakh.

Ermaganbet Bulekpayev wished the special athletes new victories.

Akim of Karaganda region Ermaganbet Bulekpayev came to the Shashubai village of Aktogay district to listen to the problems of residents.

36 people came to the local club to meet with the head of the region and the heads of regional departments.

Shashubay residents expressed dissatisfaction with the new asphalt. The road was repaired in the summer. The work has not been accepted, legal proceedings with the contractor are pending.
– This year in Shashubai it was necessary to make an average repair of streets and alleys with a total length of 2.1 km. According to the estimate, three layers of road surface are laid. The foundation was done correctly, but the laying of asphalt went with a violation. We are not satisfied with the contractor's work. The contract will be terminated, and we will file a lawsuit to the court to recognize the contractor as an unscrupulous participant in public procurement," Deputy akim of the Aktogay district Sayan Muratuly explained the situation.

Another issue that worries residents is the restoration of high–rise buildings that have been empty for many years. There are four such houses in the village. Reconstruction of one of them began this year. After the restoration of a 100-apartment five-storey building, housing will be provided to waiting lists from socially protected categories. Gradually, it is planned to give a second life to the rest of the houses.

Shashubay residents raise questions about housing and communal services. One of them is unattended power grids. Akim of the village Nariman Mangishev said that they are now being transferred to communal ownership.

Social issues were also discussed.

– I have been living in the village for 38 years. We have one therapist and one pediatrician. We need young qualified internists, surgeons, oculists and others. Our houses are being restored, there are more residents. And for a person, health is of paramount importance. We were promised that young specialists would come to us. Now there are good lifts for them," says Farida Kurysheva, a resident of Shashubai.

Such field meetings are necessary, according to the chairman of the Council of Veterans, the owner of the "Golden Necklace" sign Kulyan Abeuova.
– We are far from the regional center. It's not always possible to go. And here you can immediately discuss your issues with the akim of the region and with the heads of departments," the social activist noted.

All the questions voiced at the meeting are fixed.

An action plan will be developed for them and residents will be informed as soon as they are resolved.

In Karaganda, Temirtau and Karkaralinsky district on September 16, mass clean-up days and eco-events will be held to coincide with the World Cleanliness Day (World Cleanup Day). The campaign is aimed at drawing public attention to the importance of nature conservation and the formation of ecological culture.
In Karaganda, those wishing to join the Purity Day are expected at 10 a.m. at the Cascade Fountain (47, Bukhar-zhyrau Ave.). The bus will take the volunteers to the square near the old airport (104/1, Gudermesskaya Street). It suffers from garbage left by vacationers and residents of nearby houses.
In the Karkaraly district, young eco-volunteers from Temirtau schools will have to clear a forest plantation near the Zhosaly sanatorium. This place is known to many Karaganda residents. People come here to relax and improve their health. But, unfortunately, after vacationers there is a lot of garbage. And if it is regularly cleaned on the territory of the sanatorium, then it has been lying in forest plantations and steppes for years.
Eco-activists urge other residents of the region to join the action "World Cleanliness Day" and hold clean-up days in their settlements.
World Cleanliness Day is the largest international public action that unites millions of volunteers to clean up their cities, villages, etc. The action originated in Estonia in 2008, when the "Let's Do It!" movement and 50 thousand volunteers cleared the country of 10 thousand tons of garbage in 5 hours. A few years later, monitoring showed that the contamination of territories after mass cleaning decreased by 75%.
The action received an international status and began to take place regularly every third Saturday in September. Participants register on the international portal (https://www.worldcleanupday.org /).
Over the past years, more than 50 million people have taken part in the campaign. It is expected that more than 197 countries and 71 million volunteers will participate in the cleaning this year.
