Athletes of the Karaganda region won seven medals at the third stage of the World Aquatics Artistic Swimming World Cup. According to the results of the competition, the national team of Kazakhstan took second place in the team competition. China was the first.
The competition was held in the Canadian Markham city. 88 athletes from 16 countries came. Medals were awarded in 11 disciplines. Kazakhstan was represented at the World Cup by 15 masters, 10 members of the national team returned with medals.
The athletes of the Karaganda region have great merit in this success.
Eduard Kim became the winner in the technical program of the men's solo.
Viktor Druzin (Temirtau) won gold in the men's free solo program.
The mix duo consisting of Eduard Kim and Nargiza Bolatova (Temirtau) won silver in the technical program.

The bronze medal in the free skate was won by a group of athletes, which included Nargiza Bolatova, Yasmin Tuyakova (Temirtau), Aigerim Kurmangalieva, Anna Pavletsova, Ksenia Makarova (Temirtau), Eteri Kakutia (Temirtau), Jacqueline Yakimova and Valeria Stolbunova.
17-year-old Viktor Druzin won the first gold in his adult career at the world Championships. He won the free skate in solo performances at Markham (193.7938 points). Filippo Pelati (Italy, 186.1168) took the second place. Dennis Boneyou (Spain, 185.8751) showed the third result.
"I feel amazing," Viktor Druzin told World Aquatics after the gold–bearing performance. – I always want everything to be perfect, but today it was very easy for me, like never before, because I put everything into it.
Recall that the World Aquatics Artistic Swimming World Cup is held annually and includes three stages and a superfinal. The first was held in Beijing, the second was held in Paris.
As a result of their performance at the World Cup, 12 teams with the highest rating will be eligible to compete at the superfinal in Budapest (Hungary) from July 3 to 5.

A very important project has been launched in Balkhash – the reconstruction of the airport has begun. The need for renovation has been overdue for a long time, the last time the air harbor was repaired in 2007.
The first stage is the reconstruction of the taxiway and apron. In the future, major repairs of the airport terminal and the construction of a special transport service building are planned.
"The general contractor KAZAKHDORSTROY LLP mobilized resources, involved a significant number of special equipment, engineering and technical personnel and began construction and installation work. At the moment, the milling of asphalt concrete pavements is being completed (98%), the base of the taxiway is being disassembled (40%) and the preparation of the roadbed is being carried out. According to the work plan, the installation of concrete pavement is scheduled for June 15 this year," the website of the Ministry of Transport of the Republic of Kazakhstan reports.
It is noted that the modernization of the airport infrastructure will create new opportunities for the development of the city and the tourist region. It is planned that passenger traffic will grow three times – from 13 to 40 thousand people per year.
Balkhash Airport was built in 1967.
Akim of Karaganda region Ermaganbet Bulekpayev met with residents of Bukhar-Zhyrau district. Concerned citizens came not only to talk about the problems, but also with their proposals to improve the quality of life in the villages.
For example, Olga Amanzholova, secretary of the community of local self-government of the Kushoky village, proposed to reconstruct an empty five-storey building of a former dormitory.
- This building was transferred to the balance of the village akimat in 2018. There are 34 apartments there. If you make major repairs, you can then provide housing to the waiting list and close all the need. Today we have 25 people on the housing waiting list. The design and estimate documentation for the reconstruction is already available, it was developed last year. We ask you to support this project and allocate funding," Olga Amanzholova addressed.
Pensioner Galina Votchel came to the meeting from the Ushtobe village. She is concerned about the issue of gasification.
- Our village is located next to the Kungei village, there are only two kilometers between us. We are like a residential area. If we had gas together with Kungei, it would be great. We've been struggling with stoves all our lives. We have been writing letters to all authorities for three years now. We hope that they will support us," the activist asked to speed up the process on behalf of the villagers.
Residents of the district center propose to build a central boiler house and sewerage system in the Botakara village. They asked to establish public transport in the village. Issues related to road repairs were also raised at the meeting.
- You have made very good suggestions. Indeed, the reconstruction of the hostel could solve the problem of housing shortage, and gasification of Ushtobe, in principle, is also real. We also recognize the need for a central heat source in Bothakara and sewerage. All these proposals have been taken into account, we will implement them in stages," Ermaganbet Bulekpayev said. – The roads have also been taken under control. In total, 29.5 km are planned to be repaired in the area.
Average road repairs are planned in the Novostroika village, as well as in the Tortkol, Geologicheskoe villages. Asphalt will also appear on access roads to comfortable schools in Doskey and the village named after G. Mustafin. Two five-storey houses are being restored in Doskey to provide housing for those on the waiting list.
After the meeting, Ermaganbet Bulekpayev held a reception for residents on personal issues.
Karaganda athletes brought six medals from the Asian Arm Wrestling Championship in Tashkent. Para-wrestlers Nikita Ermakov and Kairat Tebaev won two gold medals each, and their coach Ruslan Tuspekov won two bronze medals.
About 400 athletes from 18 Asian countries took part in the competition.
Two people were announced from the Karaganda region. Nikita Ermakov won two gold medals in the 55 kg category (left and right arm). Kairat Tebayev became the best in the 75 kg category – gold on the left and right hands. Ruslan Tuspekov trains athletes. He won the bronze medal twice at the championship in the 100 kg and +100 kg categories.
– Both arm wrestlers and para-wrestlers perform at the Asian Championship in parallel. Initially, I was not going to participate," Ruslan Tuspekov says. – I have not competed as an athlete for more than 10 years. But here they offered, and I did not refuse. I always keep myself in shape, so I won two bronze medals. I would like to mention Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan among the rivals. In general, Kazakhstani arm wrestlers are the strongest in Asia. Kazakhstan has been a leader in arm wrestling in the world for three years now.
In the overall standings of the Asian Championship, Kazakhstan took the first team place.
Now Karaganda residents are preparing for the World Cup, which will be held this year in Moldova.
Karatekas of the Karaganda region performed well in Canada at the Dageki World Full Contact Karate Championship 2024. Our athletes have nine medals in their piggy bank, four of them gold.
The battle of the world's strongest karatekas took place in Montreal. The tournament was held according to the highest quality standards among 12 world organizations. Almost 800 fighters fought for victory on nine tatami mats.
– The national team of Kazakhstan has once again proved its strength, beating the Japanese, taking the first team place. Thousands of fans, friends and families of each of us watched live how our guys knock out karate players of different styles," Timur Raiymbekov, the captain of the Kazakhstan national team, director of the Karaganda branch of the All–Kazakhstan Kekushinkai Karate organization, said from Canada.
Karaganda residents brought nine medals. Timur Rayymbekov, Artyom Redin, Diana Eszhanova and Mukhtar Abishev became world champions. Valeria Shabatura and Vladimir Grinevetsky won silver medals. Ilya Opalev, Asem Shaugenbai and Artyom Redin (kata) won bronze.
– Our next goal is the Asian Championship, which will be held on August 1-2 in Astana, – said the winner of the world championship Timur Raiymbekov.
Since the last Dageki 2016 tournament in Canada, Kazakhstan has brought one gold, two silver and two bronze medals.

Qarmet company has produced its first million tons of steel.
This achievement was made possible thanks to the hard work of the entire team, the company noted.
"The average monthly steel production amounted to 300 thousand tons, which is 50 thousand tons higher than last year. It is already planned to produce 326 thousand tons of steel this month. This will be facilitated by the commissioning of converter number 2 after repair," commented Andrey Berg, Director of the Qarmet Steel Department.

According to the company, in 4 months of 2024, compared to the same period last year, Qarmet increased sales of flat rolled products by 8%, and sales of products in Central Asian markets increased by 15%.
The Kazakhstan national boxing team took the first place in the medal standings of the Asian Youth Championship in Astana. Karaganda boxers, who won seven medals, made a great contribution to the victory.
500 girls and boys from 26 countries took part in the championship. Kazakhstan won 11 gold medals and beat its main competitors – Uzbekistan (seven gold medals) and India (five gold medals). China and Iran won one gold each.
In the team competition, the Karaganda national team became the first among all regions of Kazakhstan, winning four gold, two silver and one bronze.
– The competition at the championship was high. Uzbeks and Indians were especially not allowed to relax, the latter are gaining strength in women's boxing. The fights were not easy. We fielded seven people, and they all performed well. We are very pleased with the result," says Samat Adham, President of the Karaganda region Boxing Federation. – Of course, the right selection played its role: the strongest went. Coaching is also important. Last fall, we changed all the senior coaches. We hope that the results will be equally impressive in the future.

The site of the former Novo-Karaganda Machine-Building Plant (NKMBP) received a second life. Buildings that had been idle for many years were given over to the creation of a small industrial zone.
After the restoration of the infrastructure, it has already started working, and several production facilities are located on its territory. This has become a good support for small and medium-sized businesses and local producers.
According to the head of the Department of Industry and industrial and innovative development Daryn Bulkayyr, the territory of the small industrial zone is now about 13 thousand square meters, and 10 enterprises of various profiles are already located here: for the production of pipes, heating boilers, household chemicals, etc. It is planned to attract new production facilities, there is a place for this.
The project provides for the provision of preferential loans for the reconstruction and construction of production facilities to accommodate small and medium-sized businesses. One of the advantages is the availability of ready–made infrastructure. Entrepreneurs get affordable rent and opportunities to develop their business.
An enterprise for the production of environmentally friendly household chemicals is located on the territory of a small industrial zone. It produces laundry and dishwashing gels, liquid soap, laundry conditioners, cleaners and cleaning products.
– Our company has been operating for the seventh year. We started with the production of auto chemicals, with small volumes. We produce household chemicals for the third year. Now we produce 150 tons of finished products per month, more than 50 items. The equipment is imported, we buy raw materials abroad.
There is our own laboratory for quality control, – said the head of production Alexander Budnitsky. – Before, all our production was located at a different address, it was a small workshop. We moved here, the room is large and spacious. Let's expand, there are opportunities for further development.
First Deputy akim of the region Azamat Taizhanov visited the enterprise for the production of household chemicals. He was shown a line of local products. He was interested in how much it was in demand, how the sales were organized.
– Our main task is to support domestic producers. We will continue to work in this direction – to create conditions for SMEs in order to provide new jobs for residents. In the region, we plan to create a number of small industrial zones based on idle buildings: there are applications from businesses," Azamat Taizhanov noted. – This year, 10 investment projects are being implemented in the region for a total amount of about 250 billion tenge and with the creation of 3,500 new jobs. At the same time, the emphasis is on import substitution and the creation of competitive industries.
This year, it is planned to employ more than 49 thousand residents in the Karaganda region, increase the number of operating SMEs to 95.2 thousand. At a meeting of the Party Control Committee, the head of the region, Yermaganbet Bulekpayev, reported on the results of the implementation of the Roadmap of the AMANAT party's election program and plans.
Last year, 985 grants and micro-loans were issued in the region. 1957 SME projects were funded, more than 4 and a half thousand start-up entrepreneurs were trained, 2777 new small and medium-sized businesses were created. The indicators of the election program have been exceeded by 30%.
– This year, the task has been set to issue 601 grants and micro-loans, finance 1.7 thousand SME projects, create more than 49 thousand jobs, increase the number of existing SME enterprises to 95.2 thousand, ensure an increase in the number of employed to 222.7 thousand people. According to the indicator of annual youth employment, the obligations will be exceeded by almost 2 times, – said Ermaganbet Bulekpayev. – The coverage of children in preschool education has been increased by opening seven organizations and expanding existing private organizations to 1,379 places. Another 350 new places are planned to be commissioned by the end of the year.
More than 75 thousand children are provided with free hot meals. These are elementary school students and children from socially vulnerable segments of the population. To solve the problems of dilapidated and emergency schools in the Taldy and Atameken villages of Karkaraly and Bukhar-Zhyrau districts, two new schools for 350 places are being built at the expense of the regional budget. Also, within the framework of the National project "Comfortable School", 10 more schools with 7,100 places will be introduced.
The head of the region also spoke about the development of the healthcare system, solving problems in the field of agriculture and housing and communal services, and focused on the economic indicators of the region.
The meeting was moderated by Pavel Kazantsev, Chairman of the AMANAT Party Control Committee. He stressed the need to fulfill all the indicators of the party's election program and recalled the personal responsibility of government agencies for its implementation.
– A lot of responsible work has been done. Much of what is in the program has already been implemented. However, we still have a lot to do. Shortcomings can have a very serious impact on the quality and completeness of the execution of the election program. Therefore, it is important for us now, through the joint efforts of party members and executive and representative government agencies, to identify the existing risks, discuss the problems that have arisen and work out ways to solve them," Pavel Kazantsev said.
11 new investment projects have been launched in the Karaganda region this year. There are plans to implement 10 more projects throughout the region.
Tatyana Ablaeva, Head of the Department of Economics, told about the economic development of the region at a briefing on the platform of the Regional Communications Service.
– According to the results of the first quarter, the economic growth rate was 8.7%. In the GRP structure, about 50% is accounted for by industrial production. 11 new investment projects have been launched. As a result, more than 23 thousand jobs have been created, of which 21 thousand are permanent. For the current year, the Head of State has set a clear task for the annual growth of gross domestic product at least 6%," the speaker said.
Also this year, it is planned to implement 27 investment projects in the field of agriculture and 10 in industry. Among the latter are the production of copper cathode in the Shet district, ferrosilicon aluminum in the Bukhar-Zhyrau district, wind power towers and reinforced concrete products in Karaganda, trucks, galvanized metal products and steel straight-seam pipes in Sarani.
About 4,000 new jobs will be created at these enterprises.
In addition, the rate of housing commissioning in the region has increased by 20.2% since the beginning of the year. This is more than 177 thousand square meters. 1,550 families will be able to improve their living conditions.
The region continues to support and develop small and medium-sized businesses. Over 100 projects have already received subsidies and guarantees under the regional Entrepreneur program. By the end of the year, it is planned to issue 704 micro-loans worth 5.6 billion tenge. Over 1,200 jobs will be created covering 124 rural districts. Thanks to the Unified Entrepreneurship Support Program, 4,000 projects will be funded this year.
