Representatives of China's largest energy company visited Karaganda. At the meeting with the governor of the region Ermaganbet Bulekpayev, prospects for cooperation in the development of "green" energy and other industries were discussed.
– Our company works in the field of energy and infrastructure all over the world. We highly appreciate the markets of Kazakhstan," said Vice President of China Energy International Group Lin Xiaodang.
A project for the construction of a wind farm and a large solar power plant was presented. Its implementation will attract additional foreign investments to the region and provide new jobs.
– We are open for mutually beneficial cooperation and are ready to provide all possible assistance to investors, – said Ermaganbet Bulekpayev.
Following the meeting, the parties agreed to develop a joint roadmap.
The team of Kazakhstan became the leader of the medal standings at the Asian and Oceania Championships in sports and combat sambo. Karaganda residents won three gold medals for the national team.
Athletes from 20 countries took part in the continental championship in Macau (China). Competitions among men and women were held in 28 weight categories.
According to the results of the tournament, the Kazakh team won gold with 26 medals (15-7-4), the Uzbek team took second place with 19 medals (8-1-10), and Turkmenistan took third place with 21 medals (2-6-13).
Three athletes from the Karaganda region performed at the championship. And they all became winners. Gold medals in sports sambo were won by Bolat Sapar (98 kg), Madina Yerzhan (80 kg) and Nietkhan Toleukhan in combat.
– This year we managed to take another step forward in the development and popularization of SAMBO by holding the Asian and Oceania Championships in such an East Asian region as Macau. The tournament was held at a high organizational level and became a real sports holiday for all participants: athletes, coaches, referees and, of course, the audience, – said the head of the Sambo Union of Asia and Oceania Alamjon Mullaev.

Young artists of the folk song and dance ensemble "Saltanat" of the Karkaraly district were awarded the Grand Prix of the International FOLKOWE INSPIRACJE Festival, which was held in the city of Lodz (Poland). For five days, talents from nine countries introduced the audience to the culture and traditions of their countries through songs and dances.
The "Saltanat" Folk Ensemble, consisting of 35 artists from 13 to 16 years old, presented 12 bright numbers. Kuis, songs and dances performed by them did not leave the audience indifferent.
– Among the 12 concert numbers of kuis by famous Kazakh composers performed by the orchestra are the most beautiful choreographic numbers, folk songs. Our artists captivated the audience with their performances and stage costumes. The ensemble was awarded the highest award – the Grand Prix," said Zhazira Iskakova, head of the Department of Culture and Language Development of the Karkaraly district.
The artists from Karkaralinsk have another important test ahead. They will perform at the VII International Folk Festival of Polka in Legnica.
– I can safely say that our artists are the real future stars of the Kazakh stage. At the festival, they gave their best 100 percent, tried very hard. In addition to performances, they participated in a parade, flash mobs, an exhibition of master craftsmen, and gave master classes. I am very pleased and I am sure that our children will show good results in Legnica," says the head of the ensemble Temirbek Syzdykov.
The folk song and Dance ensemble "Saltanat" was founded in 1969. In 1975, the collective was awarded the title of national.
"Saltanat" is a laureate of many international, national and regional festivals and competitions.
In the Karaganda region, following the example of Saran, they intend to develop other satellite cities. Experience has shown that the diversification of industry has a positive effect on the social well-being of residents. The creation of an industrial zone is planned in Abai.
The present and future of the Abai district were discussed at a meeting of the akim of the region Ermaganbet Bulekpayev with residents. Not only citizens, but also activists from rural settlements gathered in the House of Culture of the Abai city.
In the format of an open dialogue, they were able to address their problems and ask exciting questions.
The solution of communal issues and landscaping are not ignored.
62 high-rise buildings will be renovated in Abai this summer, with repair and painting of facades. 15 courtyards will be paved.
They continue to improve roads and put pedestrian sidewalks in order. The reconstruction of the access road to the Taszaimka village is being completed. Roads are being repaired in the Karabas, Agrogorodok, Severnoye Koksunskoye and Koyandy villages.
To make the city and towns cleaner, new container sites for garbage collection are being equipped. A landfill for solid household waste will be built in Abai this year.
Residents at the meeting raised issues of heat supply and further improvement. They called specific addresses where playgrounds need to be updated and lighting should be done.
We also talked about problems with the availability of medical care. Due to the lack of specialized specialists from Abai, we have to go to the clinics of the regional center. To attract doctors, the governor of the region instructed the district authorities to resolve the issue of building office housing.
In addition, funds have been allocated from the local budget for the purchase of new medical equipment. Six medical facilities are planned to be built in the Abai district this year. In the Sarepta village, a major overhaul of the paramedic and obstetric center will be carried out.
– Construction of a five-storey building is continuing to provide housing for those on the waiting list in Abai. After its completion, 80 families will receive apartments. We will continue this work. The construction of a sports and recreation complex is being completed in Topar," noted Ermaganbet Bulekpayev. – But the main task is to remove Abai from the category of a single–industry town. To do this, we will engage in attracting investors.
A plan for the development of the industrial potential of the district has been developed. New production facilities will create about three thousand jobs.
Akim of the Abai district Sabit Ospanov reported on the prospects of the tourism industry. According to him, it is planned to expand and restore four recreation areas on the coast of the Topar reservoir, including the construction of a two-storey hotel with 30 rooms.
An action plan will be developed for each of the voiced issues, Ermaganbet Bulekpayev said, thanking residents for their active citizenship and caring attitude.
After the meeting, the head of the region held a reception for residents on personal issues.
The team of Karaganda athletes took the second place in digital football at the BRICS Games. The participants of the United Esports Leagues esports league and the players of the Tulpar team played well in tandem.
The BRICS Games were held in Kazan. According to official data, 4,600 athletes from 86 countries participated in the international championship. For a week and a half, athletes competed in 27 sports.
114 athletes represented Kazakhstan at the Games. Competing in 13 sports, they took tenth place in the team medal standings. They have won 2 gold, 10 silver and 17 bronze awards.
The competition program also included digital football. A team consisting exclusively of athletes from the Karaganda region performed from Kazakhstan. This is a quartet of Tulpar football players and a quartet of United Esports Leagues virtual ball masters. In the final, the Karaganda team lost only to the Russians with a score of 7:9. The result was a silver medal.
– The digital football competition consists of two parts: First, the players fight in a football simulator, then go out on a real football field. That is, interactive and real sports in one bottle. In total, 12 countries were declared in our discipline. We considered the players from Brazil and Russia to be our main rivals. But already in the group we beat the Brazilian national team with a score of 7:6. The Belarusian national team was beaten in the quarterfinals, and the Venezuelan team in the semifinals. I didn't have enough experience and a little luck to win. But the team gave their best. We hope that we will perform even better at the BRICS Games next year," says Yevgeny Nabiulin, President of the Karaganda Region Esports Federation.
Athletes of the United Esports Leagues of the Karaganda region today have a constant gaming practice, participate in world championships, various international tournaments in two directions – cyber football and cyber hockey.
Akim of the Karaganda region Ermaganbet Bulekpayev talked informally with gifted schoolchildren and graduates who will take the first steps into adulthood. He answered their questions and gave them a parting word.
The meeting with young talents took place in the new Palace of Schoolchildren in the Prishakhtinsk microdistrict of the Karaganda city, which recently opened its doors. The winners of medals of international and republican Olympiads and scientific projects gathered in the hall: 58 teenagers, as well as their teachers.
- I want to congratulate you on your success and wish you all the best. Our future is in good hands! The new generation is developing, and we are trying to create all the conditions for this. We are building "comfortable schools". We will open new palaces for schoolchildren. I am sure that you have a bright future ahead of you, you will succeed! – said Ermaganbet Bulekpayev.
The children asked the head of the region how he studied at school, how he spends his free time now, whether he has a hobby. Ermaganbet Bulekpayev admitted that he spends most of his time at work. But at the same time, he tries to pay attention to his family, reads books. He often returns to the work of Winston Churchill "The Second World War".
The governor of the region remembered his teachers, told about his mother, who devoted her whole life to teaching children at school.
- I have great respect for teachers. I know their work firsthand. My mother has given more than 35 years to school," said Ermaganbet Bulekpayev.
The participants shared their plans for the future.
For example, eleventh-grader Aidana Tolegen from the Besoba village in the Karkarala district achieved excellent results in geography: she won the gold medal of the Republican Olympiad. According to her, the love for this subject was passed on from my dad, a geography teacher. Aidana plans to enroll in the specialty "management and management".
Karaganda woman Ulyana Radionova, a graduate of school No. 30, became the silver medalist of the republican Olympiad in Russian language and literature. In the future, I intend to connect my life with philology.
The winners and prize-winners were awarded cash certificates. For the first place - 200 thousand tenge, for the second - 150 thousand tenge, for the third – 100 thousand tenge. Teachers were noted with letters of thanks.
A long-standing problem with drinking water is being solved in the Osakarov district. This year, the construction of a water pipeline will begin in six villages. About 6 thousand residents will be provided with high-quality drinking water.
These and other issues were discussed by Akim of Karaganda region Ermaganbet Bulekpayev at a meeting with residents of Osakarov district.
- Last year, the construction of water supply networks in the Pionerskoye, Ozernoye, Yeraly villages was completed, construction began in Nikolaevka, Senokosnoe, Sadovoye, Trudovoye. Water supply and sewerage systems have been repaired in 10 settlements," reported Ruslan Nurmukhanbetov, Akim of the Osakarov district. - This year, design and estimate documentation has been developed for the construction of a water pipeline in six more villages. In the near future, work will begin in the Niyaz village.
The condition of intra–village and district roads is another important issue raised annually by residents of the district.
- As part of the special project "Auyl - El besigi", we will repair the roads of the Batpak and Ozernoye villages. The construction of water supply networks has just been completed there. Current repairs of intra-village roads are provided in Osakarovka. This year, the reconstruction of the Osakarovka -Nura regional road will be completed," Ermaganbet Bulekpayev said. - Providing residents with high–quality drinking water and good roads are the main tasks that we will gradually solve.
The head of the region added that at the previous meeting, residents of the district raised 43 problematic issues, more than half of which have been resolved. These are the repair of educational and cultural facilities, landscaping of the territory near the Abai school in Molodezhnoye, the arrangement of sports grounds and traffic lights in Osakarovka.
This year, the overhaul of the school in the Ozernoye village began and the reconstruction of the school in the Akbulak village with the construction of an extension will be completed. In the Molodezhnoye village, the first music school will open in September, which residents have long asked for. To do this, the building of the former court will be overhauled.
Ermaganbet Bulekpayev also held a personal reception for citizens.
The national team of Kazakhstan won bronze at Euro 2024 in mini-football. The team consisted almost entirely of Karaganda players from the already famous "Biosphere".
The continental tournament was held in Sarajevo (Bosnia and Herzegovina). Kazakhstanis took first place in the group stage, then defeated rivals from Slovenia and Azerbaijan, and lost to Romania on penalties in the game for reaching the final.
But in the match for the bronze medals of Euro 2024 in mini-football among amateurs, Kazakhstan played with France, the team won a landslide victory with a score of 7:2.
Alexander Rushinas of Kazakhstan was recognized as the best goalkeeper of the tournament.
Recall that in 2023, the Kazakhstan national mini-football team, consisting mainly of Karaganda residents, took second place at the World Cup in the UAE.

Daribai Ospanov from the Agadyr village, Shet district, won gold and silver at the World Powerlifting Championships. The Department of Physical Culture and Sports of the Karaganda region congratulated the champion.
The championship was held in Austin (Texas, USA). 960 athletes of all ages from 46 countries participated. The only representative of veterans from Kazakhstan was Daribai Ospanov. The 75-year-old athlete won silver in the classics and gold in the equipment.
– I am a master of sports of international class, Honored coach of the Republic of Kazakhstan, four-time world champion, ten-time Asian champion. At the World Championships, he competed in the category of athletes over 70. There were five of us – a Japanese, a German, a Canadian, an Indian and me. I am satisfied with the result. The goal is to defeat the Dane. He performed at the age of 94, and I'm going to compete at the age of 95," the aksakal shared.
Daribai Ospanov's son Karaman Abdulkarim also showed decent results. He became the winner in the classics and took second place in the equipment.
At the same time as the powerlifters, karate was celebrated at the Nurken Abdirov Sports Palace. They won first place in the team competition at the prestigious Dageki World Full Contact Karate Championship 2024. The athletes brought 11 awards, four of which are gold.

Athletes of the Karaganda region won seven medals at the third stage of the World Aquatics Artistic Swimming World Cup. According to the results of the competition, the national team of Kazakhstan took second place in the team competition. China was the first.
The competition was held in the Canadian Markham city. 88 athletes from 16 countries came. Medals were awarded in 11 disciplines. Kazakhstan was represented at the World Cup by 15 masters, 10 members of the national team returned with medals.
The athletes of the Karaganda region have great merit in this success.
Eduard Kim became the winner in the technical program of the men's solo.
Viktor Druzin (Temirtau) won gold in the men's free solo program.

"I feel amazing," Viktor Druzin told World Aquatics after the gold–bearing performance. – I always want everything to be perfect, but today it was very easy for me, like never before, because I put everything into it.
Recall that the World Aquatics Artistic Swimming World Cup is held annually and includes three stages and a superfinal. The first was held in Beijing, the second was held in Paris.
As a result of their performance at the World Cup, 12 teams with the highest rating will be eligible to compete at the superfinal in Budapest (Hungary) from July 3 to 5.
