How can students receive social support (dormitory, food, scholarships)?

In the Republic of Kazakhstan, students enrolled in higher and/or postgraduate education institutions are provided with various forms of social support aimed at creating favorable conditions for obtaining an education.

The main forms of support include:

• provision of places in student dormitories;

• awarding and payment of state scholarships;

• provision of financial assistance to certain categories of students;

• provision of subsidized or free meals where relevant support programs are available.

Eligibility for support depends on the type of assistance, the student's category, the source of education funding, and the established requirements.

The allocation of places in student dormitories and the payment of state scholarships are regulated by separate regulatory legal acts of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
