How to get an e-visa?

A foreign citizen visits the official visa and migration portal of the Republic of Kazakhstan:
www.vmp.gov.kz

Fills in the online visa application, indicating:

• personal data;
• purpose of visit;
• visa support number;
• expected entry and exit dates.

Upload an e- passport copy (valid for at least 6 months from the visa expiration date).

1. Once a “no objection” is issued, the e-visa is sent to the applicant by email and displayed in his personal account on the portal.
2. The e-visa is printed and presented:
   • boarding a vehicle;
   • passing a border control in the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Restriction:
Entry with an e-visa is only possible through international airports of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

E-visa terms and conditions:

• An e-visa is usually a single entry visa;
• the period of stay is limited by visa category;
• an e-visa extension on the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan is not provided;

An e-visa does not replace registration at the place of stay if such registration is required as per the migration rules.

1. Visa invitations are issued at the Migration Service Office at the place of registration of an individual or legal entity.
2. After the invitation is approved by authorities, a foreign citizen is assigned a unique visa support number.

Important:
It is impossible to get an e-visa without visa support.

1. A foreign citizen checks whether his or her country of citizenship is included in the list of countries whose citizens are eligible to receive an e-visa of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
2. The purpose of trip and the corresponding visa category (B, C and others, in accordance with visa regulations) are determined.

Note:
An e-visa is issued upon invitation from a host party registered in the Republic of Kazakhstan.

 

 

1. Payment of visa (consular) fee is done online by bankcard through the portal.
2. The amount of fee depends on the visa category and number of entries.

Note:
In the case of visa denial,  consular fee is not refundable.

Review of application

Additional information or clarification may be requested if necessary.

A review period:
(One (1) business day takes a visa review) from the moment of a complete data package submission.
