Military retirees have the right to sanatorium-resort treatment if there are indications as per the list of diseases determined by the authorized healthcare body.

To get a sanatorium resort card the one should to:
Contact a primary health care facility at the place of registration or an outpatient department of a military infirmary (hospital) to get a sanatorium resort card.
When applying, the one should present:
* an identity card;
* a referral for sanatorium resort treatment issued by local military command authority;
* medical documents (inpatient, outpatient treatment, dynamic observation) characterizing the state of health.
To apply, the one should present:
* application for sanatorium resort treatment in any form;
* identity card;
* pension certificate;
* an extract (copies) from medical documents (inpatient, outpatient care, dynamic observation), characterizing the state of health with recommendations for sanatorium resort treatment.
Regulatory legal acts:
Retirees discharged from military service shall be selected for referral to sanatorium-resort treatment by a board established in the Departments of Defense of the regions, cities of republican significance, and capital city.
The board, based on the documents provided, clarifies the presence of 25 or more years of service, as well as the presence of diseases for sanatorium resort treatment in accordance with the list approved by the order of the Minister of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated February 28, 2022 No. ҚРДСМ-21 "On approval of the list of diseases in the presence of which sanatorium resort treatment is provided to persons discharged from military service with twenty-five or more years of service"
