How can pensioners get a health resort package free of charge?

If the person had a health resort package and was not able to go for good reason, he should recommit the health resort package to the “akimat”. Then it may be referred to another person.

The health resort package may be changed for another one, more suitable in terms of time, if there is any. It is possible to alternate if the person turns it in no later than three (3) days before the scheduled date of arrival at the health resort, stated in the health resort package.

A list of required documents:

• An application in the prescribed form.
• An identity card.
• A sanatorium and health resort card form No. 068/у, (No. 069/у).

Astana City.

The one can make a registration via birge.astana.kz with an e-digital signature (EDS) or contact a "Zhanuya" Center at the address: Beibitshilik St, 14 for more help. Once registered, within 15 days before the scheduled arrival at the health resort, the health resort package is issued at the following address: Beibitshilik St, 9.

The health resort treatment lasts 14 calendar days. Pensioners by age may receive health resort package once every two years, the other population categories - once a year.

The health resort transportation cost is borne by the recipient of health resort package. The Shchuchinsk- Borovskoy resort area on the shore of Katarkol Lake is the location.

Almaty City.

To get a health resort package, it is required to submit an application to the employment and social programs department of the district “akimat”.

A 14 days’ health resort treatment is provided once a year. The “akimat” is authorized to issue a health resort package or reimburse the portion of the cost after the patient had been treated.

Residents of the other regions of the state may contact the local executive bodies or public service centers at their place of residence for more information.

Astana city. The following are eligible for health resort package free of charge:

• Veterans of World War II the Great Patriotic War.
• Veterans of military operations in the territories of other countries.
• Veterans entitled to the benefits of World War II the Great Patriotic War.
• Victims of political repressions from among the participants in the events of December 17-18, 1986 in Kazakhstan and rehabilitated in accordance with the law.
• Home front workers.

The following are eligible for health resort package:

1. Pensioners by age. The state will reimburse up to 80% of the cost of health resort package.
2. Pensioners by age who get the minimum pension (62,771 tenge + basic pension of 32,360 tenge in 2025). The state will reimburse up to 85% of the cost of health resort package.

Almaty city:

Veterans of the Great Patriotic War and the disabled are eligible for free of charge coverage of health resort package. The others are eligible for partial coverage of the cost of health resort package.

The following are eligible for health resort package by paying up to 25% of the pension, exclusive of the basic pension constituent:

Pensioners by age with per capita income equal to three times the subsistence minimum or less (138,684 tenge in 2025).
