How to get IVF quota

Введение

Doctors attribute infertility not only to medical, but also to a social problem. IVF is one of the assisted reproductive technologies used in the case of infertility of married couples.

Reproductive technologies (ART) are used in the country, which include:

  • in vitro fertilization (IVF);
  • surrogacy;
  • use of donor cells;
  • Intra Cytoplasmic Sperm Injection (ICSI);
  • intrauterine insemination (IUI);
  • oocyte cryopreservation (freezing and storage);
  • preimplantation genetic diagnosis of the embryo (PGD);
  • TESA method for collecting sperm from the men.

IVF is one of the assisted reproductive technologies used in case of infertility. Such conception differs from the classical one in that it takes place outside the mother's body.

The necessary genetic material is taken from the mother and father. In the laboratory, the eggs are fertilized, then the embryo is transferred to a special incubator. If development is normal, then several embryos are selected for transfer to the woman's uterus.

Who can get a quota for IVF – we will tell you in this article.

Also, at the request of the patient, IVF is performed on a paid basis in private clinics and prices are set by private clinics.

Who can apply for IVF quota

All citizens of Kazakhstan, including persons with disabilities, have the right to carry out the ART procedure, if there are indications and there is no drug and alcohol dependence, somatic and mental diseases that are contraindications for pregnancy and childbirth.

In the presence of infertility, the patient should be registered with the organization of primary health care at the place of attachment (the register of dispensary patients - ERDB) and immediately after receiving the results of the examination, she is sent to consult a reproductologist in organizations that perform AI in the OSMS system. The choice of an organization for artificial insemination (hereinafter – AI) in the OSMS system is carried out by the patient.

The reproductologist conducts a follow-up examination (no more than 3 months) of the married couple (if necessary, a more accurate determination of the cause of infertility and the choice of treatment method).

In the absence of contraindications and compliance with the selection criteria, a commission opinion is issued on the possibility of carrying out the AI procedure in the OSMS system.
