Compulsory Insurance (MTPL)
Compulsory motor third-party liability insurance (MTPL) is intended to compensate for damage caused to the life, health, or property of third parties during the operation of a vehicle, within the limits and under the conditions established by law.
Operating a vehicle without a valid compulsory insurance contract is prohibited in cases where such insurance is required.
How to Obtain Compulsory Insurance?
Choose an insurance company authorized to provide compulsory civil liability insurance for vehicle owners.
Contact the insurance company or use its official website or mobile application.
Provide the necessary information about the vehicle owner, drivers, and vehicle.
Review the contract terms, insurance premium, and coverage period.
Pay the insurance premium and ensure that the insurance contract has been issued.
Information from an identity document, driver's license, and vehicle registration certificate may be required to obtain insurance.
Some information may be obtained by the insurance company from information systems. The specific procedure for verifying information is determined by legislation and the terms of the insurance contract.
Important! Compulsory insurance contracts are issued electronically. Information about valid insurance coverage is verified through information systems; presenting a paper insurance policy is not mandatory.
Voluntary Insurance (CASCO)
CASCO allows vehicle owners to insure their vehicles against risks covered by the contract, such as damage resulting from a road traffic accident (RTA), theft, fire, or natural disasters.
The list of insured events, exclusions, cost, and claims payment procedures are determined by the terms of the specific insurance contract.
CASCO does not replace compulsory motor third-party liability insurance (MTPL).
