Kassym-Jomart Tokayev informed the delegates of the congress that the process of radical modernization of the state and society has begun. According to the President, AMANAT is actively involved in these systemic changes. He also noted the contribution of the party to the effective implementation of the concept of a "hearing state", providing comprehensive support to the reforms initiated.
- AMANAT always attaches great importance to the establishment of the principle of social justice – Strengthening statehood and strengthening the unity of the people is one of the special missions of the organization. At the last congress, the rebranding of the party was initiated. Work has also begun on its institutional renewal. The Party immediately began to carry out these tasks. There is a real result, we are already seeing changes. We need to continue working, and not slow down this dynamic," the head of state said.
The Head of State stressed that the liberalization of party and electoral legislation will strengthen the role of society. This applies to decisions taken at all levels of government. According to the President, competition for citizens' votes will be intensified, the pace and content of political processes will change.
- In general, we see that ice is moving on the party platform. The initiative of the Adal party to unite with the AMANAT party is a vivid manifestation of the changes that have begun. I am grateful to the leaders and members of the Adal party for these important decisions. If we build a new Kazakhstan, then all the socio-political forces that sympathize with the country should gather. At the same time, it is important that the parties get along with each other and develop the political system. Therefore, I consider it expedient to support the initiative of the Adal party and unite with it. "Adal" is an established party that has its supporters. At the present stage, when political competition is growing, this is of particular importance," Kassym-Jomart Tokayev said.
At the meeting, the Head of state noted that we have entered a responsible and very important stage. According to the President, the constitutional reform is a new stage in the history of independence. All this is caused by the demands of time and the demands of society.
- I have already said that I will resign from the post of chairman of the party and leave the ranks of the organization. The time has come to implement this prescription. Since today, as the chairman of the AMANAT Party, I have decided to terminate my powers and leave the party. This step has a symbolic meaning. In this regard, I would like to thank all of you for your trust and support in the presidential elections. I also express my gratitude for entrusting the reins of government to the party at a crucial moment. We've done a lot of work together. However, time does not stand still. A lot is changing now. We have large-scale tasks ahead of us. Today it is very important to completely get rid of the monopoly on all sectors of the country. The political system should not lag behind this process either. The head of state should not give priority to any party, that is, be politically neutral. This is my clear position," K. Tokayev said.
Kassym-Jomart Tokayev nominated Chairman of the Majilis of the Parliament Yerlan Koshanov to the post of chairman of the party and assessed him as a highly organized, experienced and qualified citizen.
