Almaty region is a favorable region for various types of Tourism and active recreation. Therefore, the tourism industry of the region is developing dynamically.
"With the right approach, the tourism industry can be turned into a full-fledged driver of the economy. Priority is given to the development of ecological tourism in the Almaty mountain cluster, Alakol and Balkhash coasts, national natural parks," governor of the region Kanat Bozumbayev said.
Also, in his speech, the head of the region noted that within the framework of the Almaty mountain cluster, a total amount of 546.7 billion tenge was allocated. according to him, it is planned to implement 8 projects and create more than 6 thousand jobs.
With the implementation of this project, the share of tourism in the gross regional product will increase to 6% by 2025.
