Fires that occur due to children's pranks with fire are, unfortunately, far from rare. The finale of such fires can be very tragic – the death of a child.
Almost all young children show an increased interest in fire, not fully realizing its potential danger. At the age of three to five years, children in their games often repeat adults, imitating their actions, work. At this age, children want to learn and experience everything more quickly. The desire for independence is especially evident when children are left alone at home.
What you need to do in order to avoid a fire from a child's prank with fire:
— tell children about fire-safe behavior;
— be an example in all situations related to compliance with fire safety rules;
— do not leave matches in a place accessible to children;
— do not instruct children to light stoves, gas stoves, or turn on household appliances on their own;
— make sure that children do not light fires;
— when leaving home, do not leave young children unattended by adults;
— organize an interesting leisure time for your child.
Teach your child the correct actions in case of fire.
If a fire or a sign of gorenje (smoke, elevated temperature, burning smell, etc.) is detected, a child of any age should immediately leave the room.
To report a fire to adults or to the fire department by a single rescue phone number "101".
As they say: "The forbidden fruit is sweet!", therefore it is more useful to explain once again to the child about the danger lurking in a box of matches, a lighter, than just to say: "It is impossible!"
Parents!
• Do not leave children alone with electrical appliances turned on.
• When heating stoves are heated, do not lock the children at home alone.
• Do not give matches to children. From a small match, big fires occur.
• Do not leave children alone when the gas stove is lit.
• Tell the children: "Do not touch the matches — there is fire in the matches!"
• The prank of children with fire is the cause of the fire.
Adults!
• Do not pass by children playing with fire, otherwise there will be trouble.
• Children need to be told how severe the consequences of fires are.
• Do not pour water on electrical appliances, wiring while they are on.
• For a bonfire, you need to find a sandy or pebble place near a river or lake.
• It is forbidden to build a fire near buildings, in forests and peat bogs, near haystacks, in places where there are combustible substances and materials.
To prevent a possible tragedy is our task! The life and health of your children depends on your understanding and compliance with fire safety rules. Be an example in this for them! Teach your child the basics of safe behavior in everyday life, competent actions in case of a fire. It is your direct duty to protect the child from harm!
