With the onset of the first frost, the water in the reservoirs is covered with ice. With the formation of the first ice, people go to the reservoir for various reasons. You can significantly shorten the route when moving from one shore to another, famously ride on a smooth and shiny surface on skates, play hockey, etc. But we must not forget about the serious danger posed by newly frozen reservoirs. The first ice is treacherous. Do not rush to go out on the first ice, it only seems strong, but in fact it is thin, weak and will not withstand the weight of not only an adult, but also a child. The young ice differs from the old one in a darker color and a thin, even snow cover without circles and inflations. It is strictly forbidden to test the strength of ice by kicking or jumping. In this case, you can immediately fall through the ice. Do not go out at night. Moving on the ice as part of a group, follow each other at a distance of 5-6 m, bypassing the sites, covering with a thick layer of snow, glades on the snow cover, dark spots that warn of the presence of platinum. Ice skating, games, sports competitions, etc. require careful preparation of the ice. It should be at least 10 cm thick per person, and for mass skating – at least 25 cm.
But if a disaster has happened to you after all:
- don't panic;
- do not flounder , lean your whole body on the thin edge of the ice;
- spread your arms wide so as not to plunge headlong into the water;
- without sudden movements, crawl away as far as possible from the dangerous place in the direction from which you came; - call for help;
- keeping yourself on the surface of the water, try to spend a minimum of physical effort on it.
A convincing request to parents:
- do not let children go on the ice (fishing, skiing and skating) without supervision;
- it's so easy to follow the rules of behavior on the water, reservoirs; - the implementation of basic precautions
