Winter fishing is an exciting activity that draws a large number of its fans to the reservoirs. Going on a winter fishing trip, you need to know that being on the ice is fraught with great danger, and often fishermen do not think about basic safety rules. However, you can do without the sad consequences if you follow some rules. Of course, there is a certain danger in winter fishing, and it is better not to brag and not to discount this fact. However, for the first time it is better to go in the company of experienced anglers, after thoroughly studying the basic rules of behavior on the ice: - Always check the strength of the ice yourself. To do this, use a time–tested tool - peshnya. If the ice withstood the impact of the foot, it will also withstand your weight. Go slowly, step by step, hitting the foot. In the event that the peshnya calmly broke through the ice — there is no way for you. You can't test the strength with a kick – you can fail. Remember that ice does not freeze evenly everywhere:
- Remember that the most dangerous areas of ice are places with protruding vegetation, near piles, supports, trees, as well as the coastal zone. Dark and watery ice is also dangerous. It is more prone to destruction;
- It is not necessary to take a lot of heavy cargo with you, and even more so to drive into dangerous places on transport;
- It is also dangerous to drill a lot of holes nearby, this can make it very weak; If you have fallen through the ice, If you have fallen into the water, then first of all you need to stop panicking and not waste your strength in vain. Take a horizontal position in the water. Then you need to spread your arms wide and crawl out onto stronger ice. Try to gradually put your feet on the ice and then crawl away. If the first attempt was unsuccessful, try to take off your shoes and repeat it. When you get out of the hole, go in the direction from which you came, and where the safe path has already been checked. First aid The victim must be protected from the wind if there is no car or heated room nearby. If the clothes are wet, it must be removed and squeezed out. Rub frozen places with your hands or dry cloth, but not with snow. If you are far away, make a fire and get warm. It may happen that a person loses consciousness. In this case, it is good to rub it with vodka (not alcohol), until the skin turns red. Give hot tea to drink. But you can't drink alcohol, it can do a lot of harm.
