On the territory of the Sarkan district, the task of the state passenger transport and highways is to organize the construction, reconstruction, repair and maintenance of public roads of regional significance, streets of localities in accordance with the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan; management of the network of public roads of district significance, streets of localities, implementation of state control during the construction, reconstruction, repair and maintenance of public roads of district significance, streets in localities within the Sarkan district; issuance of permission to place outdoor (visual) advertising objects in the lane of public roads of district significance, consideration of appeals of individuals and (or) legal entities and (or) its branches and representative offices on issues of advertising activities, within its competence monitoring compliance with the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan on advertising; organization of regular rural, intra-district transportation of passengers and baggage, approval of their routes, organization and holding of competitions for the right to service them and approval of the route schedule, maintaining the register of routes for regular rural, intra-district automobile transportation of passengers and baggage, performing other functions provided for by the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
