The main tasks and functions assigned to the state institution "Department of Physical Culture and Sports of the Zhetisu region" are to create conditions for the population to engage in sports and the development of mass sports and national sports, conduct, participate, prepare and coordinate sports events, as well as equips them with medical care, public order and security, approval of a unified calendar of sports events by region.
Implements the state policy in the field of physical culture and sports, Presidential Messages, regional development plans.
At the same time, the Department coordinates the activities of physical culture and sports organizations in the territory of the region and the use of physical culture and recreation and sports facilities. Provides placement of the state sports order in sports sections for children and youth, creates children's and youth clubs of physical training and carries out other regulated by the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
