Currently, hunting for some types of wild animals is allowed on the territory of the Zhetysu region. For example, hunting groundhog is allowed (except for species listed in the Red Book of the Republic of Kazakhstan) from June 5 to hibernation. Also, from July 1, hunting for sandpiper and woodcock is allowed. Hunting for male maral, Siberian mountain goat and roe deer is allowed from July 15. The main hunting season will begin on September 3, 2022.
It should also be noted that according to the Hunting Rules approved by the Order of the Acting Minister of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated February 27, 2015 No. 18-03/157, specific hunting dates are set for all hunting animal species.
At the same time, we inform you that all individuals have the right to hunt in the Republic of Kazakhstan, provided:
- reaching the age of eighteen, if hunting is carried out with the use of firearms;
- reaching the age of fourteen, if hunting is conducted with the use of other permitted types of hunting tools, hunting dogs and hunting birds of prey;
- availability of a hunter's certificate of the established form;
- obtaining a permit for the use of the animal world or a permit of the subject of the hunting economy of the established form.
