The labor legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan provides for measures to support employees with family responsibilities, allowing them to combine their work with raising children.
According to the Labor Code, upon the written application of the employee, the employer is obliged to establish a part-time working regime.:
pregnant woman;
to one of the parents who has a child under the age of three;
an employee who takes care of a sick family member based on a medical report.
Part-time work may involve shortening the working day, reducing the number of working days per week, or a combination of these modes.
At the same time, the establishment of part-time work does not limit the employee's labor rights. He retains the right to annual paid work leave, social guarantees and work experience.
In addition, an employee who is on parental leave has the right to work part-time in agreement with the employer.
Flexible forms of employment help parents maintain a balance between work and family life, and employers to retain qualified employees and increase their motivation.
Compliance with these guarantees is the responsibility of the employer and contributes to strengthening the social security of families with children.
