Dear veterans of the Afghan War!
This year marks the 30th anniversary of our great independence.
This is a significant milestone that marks the strengthening of the positions of the revived Kazakh statehood, the independence that our ancestors longed for. Nevertheless, this is a whole era in which many peoples exchanged value and joy, crisis and development. We are also going through this path.
"True patriotism is manifested not in pretentious words, but in concrete deeds and responsible steps," the head of state said.
Thanks to our respected veterans who have made their contribution to the development and prosperity of Kazakhstan.
The withdrawal of Soviet troops from Afghanistan marks 32 years.
In this war, there was no concept of front and rear, the main military order was the protection of armored vehicles, fuel, ammunition and food columns, going on combat campaigns.
22 thousand citizens of Kazakhstan took part in the Afghan war, 924 of them died heroically, 18 were missing.
During the war, 1015 soldiers returned to their lands with disabilities.
As part of a Limited contingent, more than 200 thousand people performed their military merits, 86 fighters were awarded the title of Hero of the Soviet Union, 103 people were awarded the Order of Lenin, 1972 citizens were awarded the Order of the Red Star.
About three thousand representatives of 17 nationalities from the Almaty region fulfilled their civic duty on Afghan soil, 200 of them died heroically.
121 citizens of the Kerbulak and Guards districts fought with the enemy in such major cities of Afghanistan as Mazar-I-Sharif, Bagram, Herat, Kain, Kandahar, Jalalabad, Ghazni, Shindand.
Nine Kurenbel residents died heroically in the battles of 1981-1984 and were awarded the Order of the Red Star by the decision of the Soviet Union.
These are Bauyrzhan Iskakov from Bassha, Marat Borambayev from Karashoka, Omirbek Turkestanov from Zholaman, Berik Uskembekov from Shankhanai, Nurgali Satymbayev from Kaspan,Anatoly Patsenko from Kogalyk, Sergey Toria from Saryozek, Amangeldy Dyusembayev, Beibit Orazbekov.
Our fellow countrymen showed real heroism, highly preserved the honor of their native land and country, their names will forever remain in the memory of all of us!
An example for the younger generation is twice a knight of the Order of the Red Star and "Aybin" of the II degree Askhat Kasenov, winner of the medal "For Military Merit" Shergali Nurgaliyev, Honorary citizens of the Kerbulak district Lyazat Sarzhanova and Abubakir Imadayev, Amantaybosynov, knights of the Order of the Red Star, veterans of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Kazakhstan Ermek Tokbosynov, Zhastalap Eskendirov, Yuri Mostov, knight of the Order "Glory of Kazakhstan", Zhumatai Burkitbayev.
Marat Kudaibergenov, Nurmanov Anuar, Imangozha Smagulov, Murat Mukanzhanov, Halyk Baybolatov in a word, we are proud of all the internationalist soldiers.
Even if the echoes of the Afghan War subside over time, the name of the heroes will forever remain in the memory of their country.

On behalf of the residents of the Kerbulak district, I sincerely congratulate you on the significant day of the 32nd anniversary of the withdrawal of Soviet troops from Afghanistan!
Your life experience and civic views give patriotic education to young people.
