Instructions on fire safety measures in baths
dry heat (saunas)
This instruction is developed in addition to the general object instruction and establishes uniform requirements for ensuring fire safety in dry heat baths (saunas) and is mandatory for all employees working in buildings and premises of these facilities. Violation (non-fulfillment or improper fulfillment) of the requirements of this Instruction entails liability in accordance with applicable law.
The possibility of placing dry heat baths (hereinafter referred to as saunas) in buildings of various purposes is determined based on the requirements of building codes.
In the case of built-in saunas, it is necessary to:
1. separate the steam rooms from other rooms with fire-fighting partitions of the 1st type and overlappings of the 3rd type;
2. arrange one evacuation exit from the premises directly outside;
3.equip the steam room with a factory-made furnace with automatic protection and shutdown, which makes it impossible for the furnace to work more than 8 hours a day;
4.arrange in the steam room perforated dry pipes connected to the internal fire-fighting water supply with the possibility of manual start-up from devices installed outside the steam room;
5. provide the capacity of the steam room for no more than 10 seats.
