Be careful-the doors are opening.
Every year, with the onset of warm, fine days, there is an increase in accidents that are associated with the loss of young children from okan. Sad statistics say that tragedies occur more often with babies aged three to five years. Both doctors and police urge parents to be vigilant to their children and others. Manufacturers of double-glazed windows, for their part, strive to make their products as safe as possible for those who walk under the table on foot. But, unfortunately, the problems, like the windows, remain open as before.
FOR LACK OF VIGILANCE
Falling from a floor is one of the main causes of child injuries and deaths, especially in cities. A window opening always attracts a child, because there are so many interesting things behind it. Therefore, closer to the year, when the baby learns to climb on the sofa, bed, chair on his own, he will definitely want to climb on the windowsill. If the double-glazed window turns out to be closed, say, a one-year-old baby will not be able to open it himself. But the danger lies in the fact that the parents of such crumbs do not yet realize what "feats" their child is capable of, and do not watch the windows.
And children over two years old already understand that you can substitute a stool to the inviting opening, climb on it - and then you will see what is happening behind the "side". Climbing up on the windowsill, the fidgets discover a handle that they want to twist. And then the frame opens… It is good if in the process of all these actions there will still be an adult nearby.
A potential threat in case of improper use is also carried by mosquito nets - a functional accessory that protects against insects. Bumping into a plexus of thin wire, the youngster perceives it as an obstacle, confidently leans and as a result falls together with the grid.
It happens that parents leave the child sleeping in the crib and go to the store or barber shop for a while, hoping that on their return they will also find him peacefully snoring in a cozy bed. At the same time, the window will also be opened so that there is more fresh air in the room. But after all, the baby can wake up from some sharp noise or for any other reason.
And now he is already climbing to the opening - either out of nothing to do, or out of curiosity, or maybe in search of mom.
At home, children and, first of all, their parents should follow the safety rules. Every parent needs to know measures to reduce the risk of a child falling out of a window or balcony:
Do not leave the windows open if a small child at home is distracted enough for a second, and this second may be the last moment in the child's life or cripple her forever.
Do not use mosquito nets without adequate window protection – children like to lean on them, perceiving them as a reliable support, and fall out with the net outside.
Install security locks on the windows that will not allow the child to open the window on his own.
Do not leave the child unattended, especially playing near windows and glass doors.
Do not put furniture near windows so that the child does not climb on the windowsill.
Children should not be allowed to jump on the bed or other furniture located near windows.
Do not put things in a mess during the cleaning process near the balcony or interior glazed doors, as the child may stumble and injure himself.
It is important to teach safety lessons to children, to teach older children to look after younger ones.
Carefully choose the accessories for the windows for the children's room. In particular, sun protection products, such as blinds and roller blinds, should be without hanging cords and chains. A child can get entangled in them and suffocate.
Plant green spaces under the windows (especially if you live in a private house), which will be able to soften the landing in case the child falls out of the window.
Take care of your future-your children!
