Fire safety in residential buildings.
Fires in residential buildings most often arise from non-observance of elementary fire safety rules, abandonment of heating stoves or switched on electrical appliances without supervision, the use of open fire to warm frozen pipes of heating systems, non-observance of fire rules during welding, careless handling of fire, and childish pranks with fire.
Fires in residential buildings cause great material damage and sometimes lead to the death of people.
In order to prevent fires in residential buildings, it is necessary to maintain a strict fire regime in apartments, basements, attics and utility storage rooms. These areas must be free of combustible materials, debris, paper, etc.
Attic and basement areas should be kept locked at all times. Access to these premises is allowed only to a certain circle of people.
It is strictly forbidden to store flammable and flammable liquids, smoke, use blowtorches or use open fire in basements and attics.
It should be remembered that when visiting basements, attics or utility rooms, only electric flashlights can be used for lighting. In the dimensions of the stairwells, it is not allowed to arrange utility pantries, and to clutter aisles, corridors and exits with boxes, wardrobes and other items.
Great care must be taken when firing stoves, using household heating appliances. It is strictly forbidden to light the stoves with the use of flammable and combustible liquids, leave the heating stoves unattended, entrust them with the firebox of minor children. Before the start of the heating season, it is necessary to eliminate faults in the heating devices. There are cases when fires occur due to faulty light wiring. You should know that it must be technically sound, have normalized fuses and not have bare sections.
When leaving home, all electrical appliances should be turned off.
