A fisherman planning a fishing trip in late autumn should be prepared for difficult weather conditions. As a rule, accidents with small vessels occur at this time. Fishing, a wonderful kind of active recreation. But few people think about the fact that in the process of this occupation a person is in danger of various kinds. Meanwhile, any body of water, even a familiar one, is a place of a certain risk. Therefore, fishing enthusiasts here need constant attention and compliance with basic safety measures. At the same time, the facts show that many boatmasters neglect precautions when sailing in difficult conditions of the autumn period, which leads to an increase in mortality on reservoirs.
The main causes of death of people on reservoirs are:
- insufficient awareness of boatmasters about the forecast of the occurrence of dangerous hydrometeorological phenomena (a sharp increase in wind, waves, poor visibility, etc.) or neglect of the received unfavorable weather forecast;
- non-compliance by passengers with the established rules of conduct on a small vessel;
- being on board a small vessel, both the boatmaster and passengers without life jackets;
- management of the vessel in violation of the norms of passenger capacity, restrictions on the area and conditions of navigation;
- management of the vessel by a boatmaster who is intoxicated.
Very often accidents, including the death of people, are associated with a person falling overboard of a small vessel. People, as a rule, stand tall on a boat, a speedboat - and this situation is extremely unstable. One of the main safety requirements when using small vessels is that everyone who is in the boat must have life jackets. However, this requirement is universally violated! It is clear that a warmly dressed person does not want to wear a vest, but, as practice shows, those who were wearing a vest kept afloat. Without a vest, they drown. And even those who stayed in the boat don't have time to lend a helping hand. And the boat often turns over when falling. And if you are drunk, you can drown at a meter depth.
Special care is required when fishing from inflatable boats. So, it is not necessary to anchor inflatable m / vessels far from the shore, and when even an average wave appears, it is necessary to stop diving and return to shore. Such watercraft are very unstable, so it is impossible to stand up in full height in them, it is even unsafe to lean overboard. It is not recommended to use inflatable boats for novice anglers. It is not recommended to swim in cramped places on such floating vehicles. The slightest "blow" on the sharp edge of an underwater snag can lead to the saddest consequences. But even in clean, open places, you should not swim on such boats too far from the shore.
