The UAPF annually, together with the State Corporation "Government for Citizens" (State Corporation), conducts a reconciliation to identify persons who have reached retirement age and have pension savings in the UAPF, while receiving pension payments by age at the expense of budgetary funds, but have not applied for payment to the UAPF.
According to the results of the reconciliation at the beginning of 2023, more than 180 thousand persons of the above category were identified.
In order to make the payment of pension savings by the State Corporation in April of this year, SMS messages were sent to the specified recipients registered in the Database of Mobile Citizens (hereinafter – BMG) to obtain the consent of the latter to provide proactive services for the payment of pension savings.
It should be noted that identification is complicated by the fact that not all recipients have phone numbers registered with BMG. In addition, the State Corporation has established that more than 57 thousand people have left for permanent residence outside the Republic of Kazakhstan, therefore, they do not receive payments from the State Corporation. Among those who did not receive pension savings from the UAPF, there are about a thousand deceased persons whose heirs also did not apply for payment of pension savings. Another category is persons who have reached the generally established retirement age and receive a pension for years of service.
Nevertheless, the work on identifying persons who have not applied for pension payments continues. In this regard, the UAPF notes that according to the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan "On Pension Provision in the Republic of Kazakhstan", persons who have reached retirement age and have pension savings in the UAPF are entitled to receive pension payments from the UAPF and strongly recommends that they promptly contact the divisions of the State Corporation at their place of residence to assign pension payments from the UAPF in connection with the achievement of retirement age.
If the recipient does not apply for payments, pension savings remain in his individual pension account and investment income continues to accrue on them.
We remind you that pension payments from the UAPF are appointed from the date of application and are carried out until the retirement savings are exhausted.
UAPF was established on August 22, 2013 on the basis of JSC "NPF "GNPF". The founder and shareholder of the UAPF is the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan represented by the State Property and Privatization Committee of the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The trust management of pension assets of the UAPF is carried out by the National Bank of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Since January 1, 2016, the functions of developing proposals to improve the efficiency of pension assets management have been transferred to the National Fund Management Council. In accordance with the pension legislation, the UAPF attracts mandatory pension contributions, mandatory occupational pension contributions, voluntary pension contributions, pension payments, individual accounting of pension savings and payments, provides the depositor (recipient) with information on the status of his pension savings (more on www.enpf.kz )
