Access to the Internet is a prerequisite for the digital development of the country and acceleration of economic growth. The telecommunications infrastructure being created today will become the foundation for the transition of the economy of the Zhetysu region to a fundamentally new trajectory of development, which can improve the quality of life of the population.
A significant problem is the digital divide, when access to radio communications, telecommunications and the Internet is difficult or completely absent, especially in rural districts and remote areas. In order to eliminate this barrier and ensure the best access to the Internet, high-quality communication for all citizens, together with the Ministry of Digital Development, Innovations and Aerospace Industry of the Republic of Kazakhstan and telecom operators, projects are being implemented to build a broadband Internet access network in villages with a population of 250 people and more. The tasks of laying fiber-optic communication lines throughout the region, construction of sites and facilities for mobile communication of the 3G, 4G generation are supported and implemented. Also, reception and consideration of applications from individuals and legal entities regarding access to the Internet is being conducted.
Under the Telecommunications Committee of the Ministry of Digital Development, Innovation and Aerospace Industry of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the RSE “Interregional Communications Inspectorate for the City of Almaty and Almaty Region” operates, which is empowered, based on requests related to the quality of communications and the Internet, to conduct an unscheduled inspection and, if violations are detected, draw up a protocol on an administrative offense with the issuance of an order to eliminate the identified violations.
