Special attention is given to the organization of information security in the Zhetysu region. The introduction of information and digital technologies in the main sectors of the economy, industry, and the public administration system allows to obtain significant achievements, namely, to qualitatively increase labor productivity, optimize economic processes, and make the work of government bodies more efficient. At the same time, significant threats and risks of information security breaches arise, the consequences of which can vary from unauthorized access to information to man-made and social disasters.

For this reason, comprehensive work is underway in Kazakhstan to develop the cybersecurity sphere, the results of which can be observed on the gradual improvement of the country's position in the global cybersecurity index. To ensure the security of information and systems, technical measures to protect information, legal norms are applied, a procedure for training and improving the skills of personnel on the topic of information security is in place.
