One of the activities of the Department of Culture, archives and documentation of the region is art, which includes the activities of creative collectives, philharmonic halls, theaters of the region. In the Zhetisu region, the network of cultural institutions and archives consists of 309 institutions. Of these: 133 houses of culture and clubs, 148 libraries, 12 museums, 2 galleries, 10 archives, 4 regional cultural institutions.

There are 47 "Folk" and "Exemplary" collectives and 69 circles functioning in the region. The full – time number of cultural workers is 1922 units .

Palace of Culture named after Ilyas Zhansugurov.

In 1962, the city Palace of Culture was put into operation in Taldykorgan.

In 1965, in honor of the 70th anniversary of the birth of akyn Ilyas Zhansugurov, the city Palace of Culture was named after Ilyas Zhansugurov.

In 2002, the city Palace of Culture named after I. Zhansugurov was awarded the status of a state-owned municipal enterprise of the akim of Almaty region "Palace of Culture named after I. Zhansugurov".

The staff number is 47 units.

The Ardager Ageler ensemble, the Zhas Talanttar dance ensemble and the Zhetisu Sheberleri ensemble were created at the Palace of Culture.

The purpose of the enterprise is to carry out production and economic activities in the field of culture.

Houses of culture and clubs.

To date, there are 133 cultural houses and clubs funded from the state budget in the Zhetisu region: 1 regional Palace of Culture, 2 city Cultural Houses, 8 district Cultural houses, 90 rural cultural houses, 32 rural, urban and blind and deaf clubs.

In general, 16,064 cultural events were organized in the region for 9 months of 2022, including 14,991 cultural events in rural areas, the number of participants – 972,713 people.

Theatre

The Drama Theater named after B. Rimova was founded on November 4, 1975. The theater opened its first curtain with the production of G. Musrepov's "Kozy Korpesh-Bayan Sulu". Since 2000, the theater has been named after the artist of the Kazakh SSR B. Rimova.

On October 30, 2018, the opening of the new theater building took place. The area of the land plot of the building built by "BI-Group Industrial" LLP is 2.2 hectares, the total building area is 10.5 thousand m2. The spectator capacity is 510 seats.

The number of employees is 144.5, including: administrative and managerial staff - 13 people, artistic staff – 11.5 people, creative staff – 52.5 people, advertising and audience management department – 7 people, technical staff - 60.5 people. The average salary is 106,760 tenge.

The number of performances in the repertoire is 45 (17 dramas, 7 historical dramas, 2 fairy tales, 7 tragedies, 1 musical, 8 comedies, 2 requiem, 1 love letter).

The subject of the Company's activity is the implementation of production and economic activities in the field of culture by creating and showing performances and other theatrical performances; widely propagandize among the population the art of theater, drama, especially the classical heritage of world literature and pay special attention to the promotion of the best works of domestic drama;

The purpose of the Company's activity is: to widely publicize the art of theater, drama, the heritage of world literature and history, the best works of Russian drama, solving socio-economic problems determined by the needs of society and the state, educating the younger generation of universal human virtues, high moral standards and foundations.

Philharmonic Hall

In connection with the division of the Almaty region, the Philharmonic Society of the Zhetisu region was created. The staff number is 156 units (of which there are 30 administrative and economic workers, the M. Tulebayev Folk Instruments Orchestra -57, the orchestra of pop and wind instruments - 17, soloists-17, dance group-21)

The subject of the Company's activity is the implementation of comprehensive measures to create conditions for the public performance of works of literature and art and the popularization of art collectives and individual performers.

The objectives of the Company's activities are musical and aesthetic education, providing conditions for the creation of highly artistic programs and numbers, organizing concerts of professional art groups and individual performers, carrying out musical and educational activities.
