"Dear residents and guests of the Republic of Kazakhstan, we inform you that according to paragraphs 1 and 2 of Article 39 of the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan "On the State Border of the Republic of Kazakhstan" dated 16.01.2013, within the territory of border administrative – territorial units, the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan establishes a border zone in which the border regime defined by this Law operates.
Border regime – the established procedure for entry, temporary stay, residence or movement, conducting socio-political, cultural or other events in the border zone.
According to paragraph 1 and 2 of Article 40 of the above-mentioned Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the entry of citizens of the Republic of Kazakhstan into the border zone is carried out on identity documents.
The entry of foreigners and stateless persons into the border zone is carried out according to identity documents and permits to enter the border zone issued by the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the manner determined by the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan (through the electronic portal "Egof").
Resolution of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated 16.04.2014 No. 356 established the limits of the border strip, quarantine strip and border zone (amendment and Supplement No. 600 dated 31.07.2015).
In this regard, the Border service of the National Security Committee of the Republic of Kazakhstan, asks citizens of the Republic of Kazakhstan (residents of the border area) and foreign citizens to be vigilant, pay attention to warning information signs and stands when visiting mountainous areas (natural places) located in the border areas of the Republic of Kazakhstan. To receive additional information from representatives of the Border Service about the passage of the State Border Line of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the limits of the border zone."

Article 510. Violation of the border regime in the border zone and the order of stay in certain localities.
Violation of the border regime in the border zone at the entrance (passage), temporary stay or movement in the border zone:
A citizen of the Republic of Kazakhstan without identity documents;
A foreigner or a stateless person without identity documents, as well as passes issued by the internal affairs bodies.
Entails a fine in the amount of five monthly calculation indices.
Article 514. Violation of the regime of the State border of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
Violation of the regime of the State Border of the Republic of Kazakhstan, expressed in non-compliance with the established procedure;
Crossing the State Border of the Republic of Kazakhstan, this action does not contain signs of a criminally punishable act.
Entails a fine on individuals in the amount of ten monthly calculation indices.
