Volume of output

Spring field work
The sown area of agricultural crops in the district for 2022 is 58,466 hectares. Of these, 4,580 hectares of winter wheat, 13,307 hectares of spring barley, 1,859 hectares of corn, 3,020 hectares of oilseeds, 730 hectares of sugar beets, 599.3 hectares of potatoes, 8,888.5 hectares of vegetables, 767 hectares of melons, 25,953 hectares of perennial crops, including 7,236 tons of wheat, 27,111 tons of spring barley, 4,600 tons of oilseeds, 14,647 tons of potatoes, 307,177 tons of vegetables, 21,468 tons of melons and 197,470 tons of animal feed were harvested. The yield per hectare was 15.8 centners of winter wheat, 20.4 centners of spring barley, 15.2 centners of oilseeds, 244.4 centners of potatoes and 76.1 centners of animal feed.
Land development
The area of Zhambyl district is 430,954 hectares, including 241,742 hectares of agricultural land. Of the agricultural land, there are 56,510 hectares (28,619 hectares of irrigated land, 27,891 hectares of land) of arable land, 174,889 hectares of pastures, 1,268 hectares of perennial plantings, 7,778 hectares of hayfields, 1,297 hectares of foreign land.
Taking into account the available pasture lands of Zhambyl district, the need for pastures was 87,100 hectares.
In 2022,the total area of 3,431.87 hectares,including 203.01 hectares of irrigated arable land,520.37 hectares of non-irrigated arable land, and 2,695. 89 hectares of pasture land were put into circulation.
For 11 months of this year, 4,610 hectares of pasture land with a total area of 5,379 hectares for agricultural purposes, including 744 hectares of arable land (206.41 hectares of irrigated arable land, 537.75 hectares of non-irrigated arable land) were nationalized.
Vegetable storage facilities
In total, there are 113 vegetable storage facilities in the district. The total area is 42.4 thousand square meters, the upper storage capacity is 37,829 tons (of which 66 have freezers).
Today, there are 1,622 tons of apples, 18,561 tons of onions and 5,985 tons of carrots in storage.
