Housing and communal services

In Taraz, there are 15 microdistricts and several suburban areas outside the city. There are four avenues in the city: Zhambyl, Abay, Tole bi and Zhalpaktobe. In 2019, part of Tole Bi Avenue was changed for the Arbat pedestrian crossing.
There are 1,312 multi-storey apartments in the city. Within the framework of the program "Modernization of housing and communal services" in the period from 2011 to 2019, 319 apartment buildings were repaired, for which 5.7 billion tenge was allocated. In 2021, it is planned to overhaul 42 apartment buildings. Of these, 24 are in Taraz, 12 in Zhanatas, 3 in Karatau and 3 in Shud.
