For 2020, the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population of the Republic of Kazakhstan allocated a quota for attracting 801 foreign specialists.
As of August 1, 2020, in 39 economic entities of the region of various forms of ownership, 500 foreign citizens carry out labor activities under the appropriate permits, including 9 people in category 1, 66 people in category 2, 410 people in category 3, 4 categories - 2 people, for seasonal work - 1 person, for intra-corporate transfer - 12 people.
The region attracts foreign specialists in the most in-demand specialties in the domestic labor market, such as a surveyor, a quality engineer, an energy engineer, an electronic engineer, a complete equipment engineer, a design engineer, a metrology engineer, an electrician for the repair and maintenance of electrical equipment. Since the beginning of the year, employers have paid a tax levy totaling 139.5 million tenge in accordance with the rates of the levy for the issuance and (or) extension of a permit to attract foreign labor to the Republic of Kazakhstan.
